I voted trade Marbury but now i'm not too sure. My decision was based solely on last nights game which is unfair. Bring this poll back in 3 weeks.

Francis is more of a man than Manbury


He doesn't blame others for his failure last year. Instead he works hard in the offseason to prove himself. Why? because he has pride. Marbury sells F'd up sneakers

I thought the results would favor keeping Francis, but I had no idea they'd be so one-sided.

Im a big Marbury fan but he has been outplayed by Francis this preseason. And his defense is inexcusable. Theres just no excuse for letting the other teams point guard have a great game every night. Like literally no matter what team we play the opponents point guard has a season high in points. And im getting tired of it.

This has to be one of the worst cases of STeph hating i've ever seen. Steph and Francis are basically the same age. Uptil now Francis has been the more notoriously selfish player. Steph uptil last season has been an iron man. I think you're letting the preseason and how things have looked so far sway your thinking. Uptil just recently Francis was the guy that seemed to be the odd man out. I just can't understand why there's such a clamor to look for ways to get rid of Steph. Mark my words, this team is gonna need him at some point this season.

Last year before he got hurt Steph was on his way to getting this team to play more respectable basketball. He was brilliant during that stretch of games that included the streak. Several double digit assist games, everyones stats went up. The guy can play. Don't let this early season stuff go to your head. So far all Francis has done is play a couple of good Preseason games. Can we see him and Steph play a bit more than a couple of games together please!

Ive never been a fan of dumping marbs, and hes still my favorite player on the knicks. But no matter how many stats he puts up if he doesnt learn how to play AVERAGE defense then we arent going anywhere this year.

You know actually if you go and look at the times that Steph gets scored against a large amount of those possessions, he gets picked off. It's not like guys are just abusing him all game and he never plays any D. I saw two possessions where he defended great against Kidd once blocking his shot and the other forcing a TO. I saw many other possessions where he defend well initially only to get picked. People tend to overlook the fact that VERY FEW PG's defend well. What does it say about the Nets guards that Steph and Francis got 63pts against Kidd and VC's 27pts and even if you add the 21 pts from Williams that's only 48 and we only got 3 from JC, which isn't normal for him. I think people let NJ's guards off the hook.

We need for our guards to defend better, but they aren't alone in that. Our bigs have to do a better job too. They don't support our guards and haven't really since Steph has been here. Imagine if Steph played with Ben and Sheed behind him. Think that might help to make him look better on D? Instead we've got two slow footed defenders in Frye and Curry.
