I'm pretty sure the article merely stated dolan was considering buying him out. It might be one of many things they are considering.
However, at this point, regardless of what they want their handling of the matter has disempowered brown in relation to the players, making all his efforts for naught. And isiah's shown no inclination or ability to empower any coach, so I really think it's time for a new GM with credibility to decide Brown's fate, or to have Isiah coach to and be wholly accountable.
Having management and the coach at odds just doesn't work.
