I had to do a poll I am a social scientist, and I really need these statistics. Do you want K-Mart on this team, yes or no. It is rumored to be for Steve Francis, but do you want him at all, for Francis, an expiring, or a warm bowl of grits? He has had knee injuries, he is owed 70 million and his attitude is in question. K-Mart, Yes or No?

I say HELL NO!!! If he were healthy, nothing else would matter to me, but with shaky knees and 70 million & 5 years left, I don't get why its worth it. If he plays well, he wouldn't be worth his contract, but who cares. But that is such a big IF, why is this even a conversation worth having. HELL NO!!!!! We can ship Steve Francis out elsewhere.

No, but I do dislike having him less than I dislike having Marbury and Francis. That said, there are many other options I'd pursue first that have been written about in other posts.

Wait a sec... shaky knees? 70 million? Bad attitude? He sounds perfect for the Knicks. Where do I sign?

like who? Evans for 13mins a night in Malik's & Lee's role? Odom, harrington? Who's going to defend, block shots, rebound and most importantly lead and set an example for Curry/Frye? I wouldn't mind adding Evans along with Martin as insurance

No more, please Isiah. No more. Unless we clearly get the better end of the deal like expiring contracts or picks coming our way. Denver wants to get rid of him so if this is an even deal it is stupid. Enough is a god darn enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that would depend on Channing Frye, wouldn't it? if he comes into camp in great shape & ready to play some gritty defense, then he'll earn his starting minutes... if he's still clueless on rotations & lacking confidence in his shot, then i would say even if KMart doesn't come here, Malik might be the starting PF next year to start the season.

why wouldnt he come into camp in shape...has he given us any reasons to think that?

and if u think frye was the only one clueless out there? he was the liable one? come on give me a break the whole damn team was lost!!!

if another man misses an assignment it can make u look bad when its not ur fault...

am i right or am i right?

calm down... i'm not taking digs on Channing Frye... just presenting the scenario that it's not a given he'll be a starter at the beginning of the season.

I love Channing Frye and have nice expectations for him, but he definitely was a liability at times last season.

unless the deal saves us money or sends us a slew of unprotected first round picks - no deal.

I thought Francis was a good trade- getting talent cheap, rehab and restore value.

Hasn't worked that way. To think to trade Francis that we need to take back something worse

I would want a stipulation in his contract where if he didn't listen to the coach or caused any kind of disturbance his contract could be voided and he could be flogged.

No

Eddy Curry (Saer Sene), (Hilton Armstrong) and Channing Frye up front , with David Lee off the bench

That works for me

Unfortunate tidbit about Hilton. No one knew he hurt his hip prior to the NCAA tourney--he actually had a sprained ankle and injured the hip compensating for the ankle during a game against Louisville where he had 10 blocks. After that game Uconn was never the same because he couldnt move. If you look back at the team's defensive numbers post injury-its staggering.
