*Sigh* I dont know, maybe. I really dont think we should try to win now. I know, I know, JO is better than frye, thats definately true, but Im not comfortable trading a young promising player for an older max contract, somewhat injry prone, player in his prime even if he does put up near 20 and 10. anyway regardless of what I say Isiah would do that deal in a second, so the only factor is whether or not indiana would do it.

thats too much for jermaine, we should just trade up for rondo and keep frye... rebuild to the future...real young

Yeah, I originally said yes, but I think it is too much to give up. Jermaine's injuries concern me too much to give up all that for him.

Jermaine is a distraction in my opinion. He's always hurt but he also is constantly involved in some kind of scuffle. He does a lot of talking and boasting during the game. He likes to be physical but can't take it when guys push him back. I personally can't stand him.

yes without thinking twice! Those late picks might not even crack the roster let alone get enough playing time

I'd like us to stay homegrown. If anything lets trade up in the draft. Lets devise a developmental system of our own. Last year our big youth program was Sweets and Ariza. One year later they're both gone.

Jermaine is just another guy who's not showing up and a franchise is about to give up on. Isiah always thinks he's gonna bring out the best in a player but it sure hasn't been working like that here. Lets find some success with our own guys before we continue trying to reclaim those who don't work out elsewhere.

That said, if you can get him for expiring contracts be my guest. Isiah can, has, and will do a lot worse with them.

Injuries and attitude is what he brings lets not help the whole conference rebuild

Granger, Harrison, Jones, Frye, their pg....we need to let everyone try harder to rebuild....Besides I would bet the Bulls could come up with a better offer with gordon, and one of their picks

We need to just be patient

I would be open to it. The picks dont mean much to me. I think we have some good young guys in Lee, Nate, Jackie and even QWoods. Factor in Crawford and QRich and its not an old team.

Oneil isnt injury prone over his career. This year has obviously been rough for him, and last year he was suspended, but before then he had a string of 4 years or so of 70+ games. I dont see this as a McDyess type gamble. I would be more inclined to go the homegrown route if I thought we could draft a guy like JO, but its hard to see that happening. I would rather just for now however. These deals cost more now than they do at the deadline. Our #1 priority should be moving Marbury, JJ and Mo Taylor. I'm just looking to save money. If I can get back expiring contracts or some expiring contracts that I can just buyout I'm open to it. Dump this starphuck business model. Larry is showing from these last 3 games its not worth it and it doesnt work. I hope he keeps it up for that sake alone

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If JO doesn't miss games next year, the Pacers will probably be top 6 in the east, he'll be an all-star again, and he'd cost a lot more to get.
last year he was suspended
I forgot that was the reason he missed a lot of games last year. I'm not that worried about his injuries actually for the reasons you mentioned.
People here are underestimating his impact on defense. He's no Ben Wallace but he's a tough man-to-man and help defender

Unless the Pacers want to go in complete rebuilding mode, I just don't understand why they would even want to trade JO. He's done everything he could for them and seems to have a great attitude. It's the guys they surround him with that need to change. Peja was a step, but the injuries definitely have ruined that.

The more I think of it and let it sink in, the more I realize just how much of a scumbag Artest really is.

Maybe we can package those #1s and expiring contracts to get rid of Marbury, Francis, James, and Malik Rose...I just despise Rose cause his game is so ugly... he looks like a Special Olympian when driving to the hoop...

I LOVE the lineup of Team Caffeine... Craw, NateRob, QWood, Lee, and Butters, I mean Butler... I wonder how close their avg age is to their +/- point differential when on the court... age must be something like 23 and the +/- I am guessing is probably + 19 or so...where do I get those stats? I have seen them posted before
You know I gonna spin wit it

interesting results.

the thing is, despite what we think, IF jermaine becomes available, isiah and lb will pack frye's back and personally drive him to the airport. same goes for kg.
