if we can dump some of the fodder how about both

With small line ups they can play 3/4, with big ones they can play 2/3

I thought we needed unselfish, team-first, workmanlike players who are "winners" to fit into Brown's system, and we are talking about Harrington and Miles?

That makes no sense.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

unless either are coming here in return for our garbage (marbury, francis, JJ, etc) and we're taking less salary on- neither.

This is the problem with the knicks- we've just gone out and gotten a lot of parts- its like the johnny cash song, 'one piece at a time'- on the face of it- both would be great parts to have, but do they fit the whole?

Our future is the team Brown put on the floor in the fourth & ot sessions against the hawks.

Seems we stick our SF in the corner anyway! I think QDog and DLee make a hell of a tandam. They can improve. Players get better.

We need a:

Shot blocker defensive stopper who can hit a foul shot.

Real ball handler point.

Spot Shooter.

Thats it, we have most of the pieces.

We need to move out Mo. T, Jaelen, and either Butler or James. I like Butler a lot, but can we carry 3 centers and give them minutes?

Keep Malik Rose. Larry needs some help in the locker room. He can be our mascot player, aka Junk yard dog.

Send Statbury to charm school.

Classifying Marbury and Francis as the garbage of the team is wrong.

exactly what I've been saying...we are rebuilding and the proof was in this team (mostly rookies, channing was still on the bench I believe and is OLDER than jackie b)

so we are top heavy, that's what time is for. something we actually do have.

i could see marbury heading back to georgia, but I don't part with anyone that played in the overtimes (and channing) at this point. or we are back to square one.

we shouldn't trade away Jackie Butler... this guy is the 1 bigman we have that seems to have a clue as to how to play fundamental style basketball... if you have to sit Big Fat Turd on the IR for the entire season next year, so be it... you gotta keep Jackie

I think between JJ & Curry you've got one guy who is more than likely going to give you a crap performance. I mean Curry was just aweful against the hawks- Is his elbow not attached to his brain? Does he not realize he is making serious contact with the opponents face? If that happened on the street, he would be arrested for assualt.

And JJ the other night scoring like 11 points in 6 minutes and begging LB to take him out? How out of shape can he be?

Jackie B, IMHO, is the only center we have that can be relied on to not mess up- I know that isn't saying a lot, but its the truth.

Neither! I want to see Lee play SF next year. The guy can rebound, defend and shoot. Also, he can finish as well as anyone on this team! Miles IMO is lacking motivation. Please stay away from him Zeke! I wont be too upset if we bring in Al Harrington but I still want to see a starting lineup for Curry, Frye and Lee.

I think we should get a spot shooter for cheap and just stay put. Massive overhauls will just lead to more turmoil and poor performance. We have pieces, just time to start geling.

I'm more than happy with Marbs, Francis and Nate/QRIch at the guard spots. We should give Lee/Q2 a shot to prove themselves at the 3. I think they both have the potential to be really good. Frye and Taylor is a bit weak now, but I don't want annother PF taking away Frye's minutes and development. Jackie B and Curry should be adequate for center. If we want an upgrade over those 2 it'll really cost us.

not if those overhauls lead to intangible minded team oriented professionals

as for Frye's development, he is getting 25mpg as a rookie, he is getting his on-court eduation. We're not talking about a high-schooler, he is a 4 year grad. Improvement is eternal. He has a summer to work things out. He comes into next season showing none then the bench is where he belongs
