Isiah Thomas, the tough minded GM Stephon Marbury, the superstar point guard Eddy Curry, the next Shaq Larry Brown, the Hall of Fame coach Jamal Crawford, Jalen Rose.... None of these guys has been able to make the Knicks team we see out on the floor any better. Is there any trade that can make this team better, or does the problem run deeper?

I don't believe there's any trade open to the Knicks at this time that will make them significantly better, so long as that player is put into the dysfunctional Knicks system.

yeah, a Jerome James for Tim Duncan swap would kinda help this team i think.

I think the deal that would make this team good very quickly is:
Crawford, Nate, 2nd Round Pick for Rashard Lewis.

If we had a very good Shooting Guard the likes of Lewis to Penetrate and/or sink Js all night long while Curry & Marbury do their thing we would improve dramatically.

We do need a true SG - however I think the main problem is the culture/chemistry and that starts at the top and works it way down.

A single trade wont fix this sinking ship it needs to start at the top and i am sure everyone agrees with that.

This franchise is cursed. The Knicks obviously have talent but can't even achieve what some of the teams with less talent can....and we even have a better coach than many teams. It's The Curse of Hoya Destroyer! It has to be.

Lewis at SG????? Guy's a SF, where I think Frye will eventually play.

Don't worry Eddy Curry is the franchise. Things will get better as soon as he works on his defense, shooting, shot blocking, turnovers, offensive fouls, stamina and rebounding. With his contract things should pay off in a few years.
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

. . . and that business with dribbling the second he touches thet ball in the post. Luther Head and Rafer Alston were owning that one the other night.

Frye doesn't have the lateral quickness to guard on the perimeter.

True. But he can't bang under the boards either. He's gonna give up points on the D wherever you put him. I think you take better advantage of his gifts if you pair him with a rugged power forward like Rashard Lewis paired with Reggie Evans. Also look at what Odom accomplished when he had Haslem across from him,. (I know, I konw, Channing Frye is not Lamar Odom).

I honestly believe all our problems begin and end with Marbury. He is a cancer in the locker room.

Once he leaves the team's chemistry can finally start to take shape.
