Note: There's more folly for Wednesday's Nets-Knicks clash. Jason Kidd actually responded to Stephon Marbury's self-promotion on ESPN's "Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith" on Thursday night. Kidd was shown a clip of Marbury suggesting he would be the better point guard if they played each other in a playground, with the names taken off their jerseys. "Unfortunately, I think I would win," Kidd said. "I'm bigger. I'm stronger. I'm quicker." Kidd was then shown a graphic offering his playoff wins (38) to Marbury's (four). "That just shows you right there that's something's wrong," Kidd said. Kidd was unavailable for comment at yesterday's practice. But Carter's reaction to Kidd's rare bravado said it all. "My jaw just dropped," Carter said.

I do too. I love Steph but fair play to Kidd. Nothing wrong with some honest competition.

I think kidd would win, he seems to have a stronger desire to win, and doesnt give up in the face of diversity as easily as marbs does.

kidd was on SAS...i didnt watch it but i guess stephen asked him the question...kidd is having a pretty good year too....
