People always assume that things will continue the way they are. True this team is not the most balanced team around, but it could be less balanced. Our biggest problems are defensive and offensive continuity. Defense is a obviously a bigger concern. Time will cure this. We dont have the smartest players around, but we do have the consensus best coach in the league and some talented, if flawed, pieces. I think we will be fine, and will get at least to .500 or better.

i'm going to uniequivocally say...I HAVE NO IDEA!!!

making up 11 games will be TUFF. and i have no idea if we can do it or not. i wouldn't be surprised if we start winning or if we keep stinking it up. i just don't know. all i do know is that my stress level keeps increasing as each game comes and goes...

We have to go 35-24 the rest of the season, to make .500, I am not sure that is possible with the way things are going at this point, this team can not afford a losing streak any longer than they have now. They have to at least win every 2 out of 3 games the rest of the way.

I mean that's .600 basketbhall and few teams do that.

If at some point this team starts to play 500 basketball, I think we should all be happy.

34-48

So we would win 28/59 games from now. Not bad...

This team will not win 30 games this season.

This team has the worst possible scenario considering the player make up and salary cap hell. I'd much rather have the roster of Hornets or Bobcats than the crap we got. No flexibility. We're stuck with the mediocre players for yrs AGAIN.

Yeah, I know I was just stating what it would take to make .500 at the end of the season. Before this losing streak began we were playing .500 ball, but this streak as really made it very difficult to reach .500 at the end of the season. I really would like to think this team can pull it off, but so far I don't think it will happen.
I mean look what Karl did in Denver last yr, it's possible but highly inprobable the way things are going at this time.

I think they'll make a run, but it will be a run to the high 30s. I'll be happy if Curry, Frye, Ariza, Nate and Lee are getting heavy run and gelling with the team. Crawford and Q should not be given up on yet either. But have skills, are 25 and have decent contracts.

I'm not sure what the trade deadline will bring, but hopefully Isiah uses it to thin out the spare parts like Malik and AD and Penny, rather than add more. Hey, maybe Isiah can trade for a few picks...

I have no idea with this team. Brown turns teams around dramatically by the end of the season. Still, this team may lack the pieces for that to happen. Isiah can make a trade or two for this to change. Will it happen? I hope it does...

I still think they could get it together and pull into the playoffs; I just can't see a LB team be this terrible for long

I think we will get near .500 but 4-5 games under
I think a big trade will happen and than we should be able to know where we are going...(we may trade for rebuilding reasons...draft picks and youth)

We have to play .600 ball the rest of the way to get to .500. Unfortunately I don't think this team is good enough to do that. I do think we will get to 35 wins or so.

If we can get a point guard that will get the big guys involved and somebody that can put the ball in the hole on the regular ie: a go to guy. I believe we can get to 500 and even make the playoffs...

I think there are two possible scenarious:
little bit below 50% (probably 36-38 wins)

...or below 20 wins

This will be clear in next 10-15 games.

And I think the second will be better for the future ob this team...

Most teams (even bad teams) have winning spurts. We're amidst a 6 game losing streak right now--- and we look much worse than we really are. Injuries to Curry (and James) have really slowed down the development of our team chemistry. Much like we experienced w/ Marcus Camby (who we all must agree is a major difference maker when healthy), if he's in and out of the lineup, it throws off the whole rest of the team.

Larry Brown hasn't helped matters by making so many lineup changes along the way.

In the end, however... just as quickly as we went on a 6 game losing streak, I think this team is capable of putting together a 5 game winning streak, maybe winning 8 out of 10... and leaving us at 14-19 or something along those lines. From that standpoint, more consistent play and simple knowledge of LB's system should allow us to go a little better than .500 the rest of the way and get us at .500 for the season.

I still believe in the talent of this team. When IT noted that this team will be built around Curry/Frye, he practically said the rest of the roster is open for trade offers. When you have quality big men, you don't really need/want a 20ppg PG stealing away their offensive opportunities. At this time, we have 2 PGs (Crawford/Marbury) who both feel like they should be 20ppg guys. We might just be a little too deep to develop strong roles and good team chemistry. We might need to trade some of 'em away for picks & role players.

This team is going no where. I watch NBA League Pass and i see teams have set offenses and run them correct. Have we ever run a play? Maybe 10 of 48 mins we play team ball. Miss 4 shots in a row it's one on one chuck time.

It's amazing how some people view .500 to be some kind of success. Go back to the season prediction thread. Hell, even I predicted them to be close to .500.

its a process, how many times does that have to be beat into your head. when was the last time the knicks ended the season a .500 team? how many years? if we could do it now, its a step in the right direction, we have many youths who are getting better. next year we would build on that to improve over .500.

not to mention we have a new coach, a new system, and rookies getting big minutes.
