Notes: Brown was still offering examples of the Knicks' inability to grasp basic concepts before the game. "One guy asked me, 'Well, how do I know the time?' '' he said while discussing recent shot-clock violations. "I said, 'Well, it's usually on top of the backboard.' I never thought I'd have to have that kind of response, but you just can't take anything for granted." ... Marbury had 18 points in the first half, but took only two shots in 20 minutes after the break. Who might be the rocket scientist we can attibute the quote to?

I'm saying Qyntel. Never went to college. Nate went to one of the top college programs in the country. there's a shot clock in college.

theres a shot clock in JUCO as well.

Curiously in the past 2.5 yrs aka the Marbury years NY has been a terrible team when it comes to clock management...

That quote is ridiculous. Larry is playing games. I could imagine the cursing and arguing that goes on in practice and behind closed doors. I just can't wait till Larry gets the players he wants so we can move on from this soap opera

the real numb nuts is larry for going public with such a quote. we know larry will do his best to educate and correct players who lack skills not commensurate with larry's system.

in return our great coach will show player improvement based on a level of training to correct the bulk of problems that validates whinning.....i mean winning

Well maybe the Detroit owner is right about LB being a bad person, this game he is playing is messing this team up, he has got to get his **** together and stop playing games, he should have never taken this job if this team didn't have the players he wanted.

Has a coach you adapt, improvise and over come what ever problems with players you have by being working with what you have, if you are given lemons you make lemonade, etc.


IT IS NOT NATE, HE IS A SMART KID, HE KNOWS THERE IS A SHOT CLOCK, EVIDENCED BY HIS LAST SECOND GAME WINNING SHOT AGAINST PHILLY!.

Nalod, you left Craw and Ariza out of the pool, and I think they would be in the running for the one who said that.

I would say its either Craw or Nate. Recently both have had many shot clock violations. But I think that the one leading that category is Nate, so to him goes my vote.

I'm pretty happy Larry told the media about this. These players are not being held accountable for themselves out on the court. I still don't understand how players can leave shooters wide-open for 3's when they have been making them all night long. Thats not coaching, thats STUPID basketball players. They deserve to be run in the mud in the media like Larry did.

It couldn't be the shoot first point guard who doesn't look up when he's pounding the ball into the hardwood just before he shuts off the rest of the world and goes to the basket could it?

For all LB has said, he has been much more supportive of this players then Phil Jax who has been reportedly been calling Kwame a pussie. This is a league for only the best players, if you can't get the job done then you don't belong and don't deserve to be coddled and breast fed by the coach.
