Playing the final game of the regular season, the New York Knicks (49-32) will square off with the Chicago Bulls (39-42) in a Sunday matinee at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks won here on Friday night, pulling out a win against a feisty Brooklyn Nets team. Meanwhile, the Bulls barely held off the Wizards, 129 to 127. Chicago has won two straight (Detroit, Washington) and five of their last ten.
New York has won two of their three previous matchups with the Bulls. The Knicks last beat the Bulls, 128-117, on April 9, when Jalen Brunson scored 45 points to lead all scorers.
Expect mostly the same faces we saw in the two games in Chicago earlier this month. In their last game, against the Wizards, they started Torrey Craig, Coby White, Dalen Terry, Javonte Green, and a fella named Onuralp Bitim. It seems a bunch o’ Bulls are game-time decisions. Do you need to know much more than this?
Prediction
ESPN.com gives New York an 81% chance to win this. If all those Bulls players switch from “GTD” to “OUT”, then victory is easily in the bag. A snoozefest even! Regardless, I’m pretty sure Jalen and the boys want that 50 piece—and if Brunson wills it, let it be so, forever and ever, amen. Expect the Knicks to close out the afternoon and a spectacular regular season in spectacular fashion, winning +12. Then they get a week off and head into the playoffs, where they will win spectacularly! Amen!
