Fans seem frustrated by Bickerstaff more than Koby Altman.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NBA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Cleveland Cavaliers fans and fans across the country.

The results are in for this week and they point to fans being frustrated with Cleveland Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff.

Forty-two percent of Cavs fans who responded to this week’s survey think Bickerstaff should remain as the Cavs’ head coach. Bickerstaff helped guide the Cavs to the fourth seed in the East this year and a 51-31 record before they were beat in five games by the Knicks. In three-plus seasons in charge, Bickerstaff has a record of 122-125 as Cavs head coach.

Bickerstaff isn’t going anywhere, though. Cavs president of basketball operations Koby Altman said as much this week.

“End that speculation. Yes. Absolutely. Absolutely. There’s no question about that,” Altman told cleveland.com. “Look at what he has accomplished. I have not heard that stuff. Maybe because I haven’t been reading or been on Twitter. I have not heard that noise. That’s not even a question.”

In the same survey, fans think Bickerstaff is under more pressure than Altman, with 64% indicating Bickerstaff is under more pressure than Altman.

Both men, for what it’s worth, are signed to long-term extensions with the team. Bickerstaff is under contract through the 2026-27 season, while Altman is signed through the 2027-28 season.
