Raptors’ Ochai Agbaji exits Knicks matchup after scary fall

TORONTO — The Raptors added to their long list of injuries early in Wednesday’s 145-101 loss to the Knicks with a scary fall to the floor by guard Ochai Agbaji.

Agbaji landed hard on his back following a foul by Miles McBride in the first quarter and was down for several minutes before being helped to the locker room.

He did not return with what the team called a rip hip contusion.

After the game, Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic said Agbaji got X-rays, and they did not show any signs of a fracture.

“For a second it was really scary because he couldn’t move at all,” Rajakovic told reporters.

The Raptors, now losers of 12 straight games, already were without former Knicks RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley (personal reasons), as well as All-Star wing Scottie Barnes (hand), Jakob Poeltl (finger) and Chris Boucher (knee).

Jontay Porter also missed his third straight game while the NBA investigates irregularities on prop bets involving him.
