According to league sources, they have expressed interest in the Toronto Raptors’ Bruce Brown, who they also considered in free agency this past summer. Brown fits the contract requirements (he has a team option for 2024-25), adds defense, can run a pick-and-roll, isn’t afraid of the moment (he helped the Denver Nuggets win a title in June) and is a Thibodeau-minded player — but he also isn’t a shooter.

The Raptors have posted an initial price point of a first-round selection for Bruce Brown, sources said, after Toronto acquired the veteran as part of its return for Pascal Siakam. But Brown’s contract, a two-year, $45 million balloon payment with a team option for the 2024-25 season, is expected to dissuade several suitors — like Philadelphia, sources said — from sacrificing that level of draft pick when Brown is considered a lower-market player than his salary.
