Late dunk seals bettor’s nearly $22K win in Knicks-Nets parlay

This NBA bettor correctly predicted that Cam Johnson and Donte DiVincenzo would have some of their best games of their season.

And they won handsomely.

A 3-leg parlay featuring Johnson 20+ points, Divincenzo 15+ points, and Dorian Finney-Smith 10+ points had odds of +15031 for the Knicks-Nets game on Wednesday.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, the bettor placed $143 on the parlay and won $21,742.90, with the implied probability of winning the bet coming in at 0.66 percent.

The same-game parlay for the Knicks-Nets game hit when Finney-Smith just barely hit the required 10-point total, as his dunk with 4:31 remaining sealed it.

DiVincenzo’s outstanding performance made this bet look easy, as the Villanova alum scored 23 points, the second-most he’s scored on the season.

Meanwhile, Johnson’s 20 points were tied for the second-most he’s scored this season, with an overtime shootout against the Hawks coming in as the lone standout on Nov. 22nd.

The Knicks ousted the Nets as +1.5 underdogs on Wednesday with a 121-102 victory. New York dominated from the get-go, thanks to a 12-point first quarter by forward Julius Randle.

The win put Tom Thibodeau’s bunch at 16-11, just five games back of the Celtics for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

As the February trade deadline approaches, both the Knicks and Nets could be looking at acquiring new talent.

Some have speculated that both teams could get into a bidding war over Cavaliers star guard Donovan Mitchell while the Knicks lost Mitchell Robinson for the season due to ankle surgery and could look for a new center.
