The New York Knicks have finalized their roster by signing shooting guard Duane Washington Jr. to their last two-way contract.

The Knicks have made a series of signings and cuts over the last several days. Begley first reported that Washington was released by the team on Oct. 21, but the front office doubled back and wound up adding him again.
Washington Jr. is a promising scoring guard who has made the most of his playing time in the league to date. In two seasons as a pro, Washington Jr. has averaged 9.1 points and 1.5 made three-pointers on 37.1 percent shooting from deep in 17.2 minutes of action.
This will mark Washington Jr.’s second stint with the Knicks’ Westchester G League Affiliate. He was signed on a two-way deal between Feb. 28 and July 7 of this year, prior to his latest string of fluctuations on the roster.

How the Rest of the Knicks’ Final Moves Panned Out
New York signed Dylan Windler to their 15-man roster, freeing up space for Washington Jr. They cut Nathan Knight and Jaylen Martin while inking Charlie Brown Jr. and Jacob Toppin to their other two available two-way slots.
The Knicks’ void at backup power forward made their release of Isaiah Roby a head-scratcher, as the talented 6-8 scorer has also capitalized off of his minutes like Washington Jr. with promising production.
Nevertheless, Washington Jr. will have time to work on his 39.1 percent clip from the field and his 1.9/1.2 assist-to-turnover ratio in the G League. Both the Knicks and the Westchester affiliate have guard-heavy depth charts, which will make it a challenge for Washington Jr. to see time on the Madison Square Garden hardwood.
