Latest on Knicks’ Speculated Karl-Anthony Towns Trade Interest

Rumors have circulated throughout the NBA offseason that the Knicks may be interested in making a splash following the franchise’s Eastern Conference semifinals appearance this past season.

Could the Knicks be in on Karl-Anthony Towns? The Timberwolves haven’t expressed real interest in trading him, and as it turns out, the Knicks are not even interested in adding him to the roster, according to a new report from Fred Katz of The Athletic.

Minnesota has reportedly placed a “sky-high” price on Towns, according to Katz, but the Knicks are not one of the teams who have inquired about the big man’s availability. Katz instead indicated that the Knicks are waiting patiently for the right fit to pair around star point guard Jalen Brunson, who had a career-year in a bigger role with New York than he enjoyed in the past with Dallas.

Brunson averaged a career-best 24.0 points per game to go along with 6.2 assists on 49.1% shooting from the floor in his 68 starts for the Knicks last season.
