With Brunson most likely to re-sign with the mavs, the pressure is on the FO for the draft to make a splash. They need to swing for the fences to get the 4th pick. Scott perry should use all his remaining goodwill with the kings to complete the draft day trade. Im worried if the strike out on Ivey their despiration could lead to signing Kyrie or Beal. If Beal can drop his price to 25M, that will be ok i guess, 😜

Re Brunson, imo bullet is dodged. He’s good and would contribute but not that good.

Solid drafting will yield a clone

Smoke screens and Blogs are not to be taken literally. While the odds of any deal happening are slim, the big picture is something is likely to happen. Some blog/podcast guy says he “heard” is not a reason to get happy, or despondent about potential moves.
Brunson at 25mil is high, but salary inflation is inevitable. The price is also the salary we dumped to get him. If BUrkes and Norlens, plus,………you give up depth and perhaps a pick, Can we draft a clone that can step right in and perform to that level?
This guy has experience and a winning quality from college and in the pro’s.

JMO if it comes out this way ILL PASS ON GRIFFIN WILLIAMS and SOCHAN

i like the 3 players at 16-17-18
16. Atlanta Hawks: Jalen Williams (Santa Clara, SG, Junior)

17. Houston Rockets (via Nets): Tari Eason (LSU, PF, Sophomore)

18. Chicago Bulls: Malaki Branham (Ohio State, SG, Freshman)

Id rather us trade back get rid of a contract or add an asset and add 1 of these 3.

Zero clue if this is legit or not but in theory it makes sense to me, at least from Knicks standpoint.

If Knicks get #7 (and I doubt Burks/Noel is all that palatable to POR but I have no clue on that), they can try to move up to #4 using the #7 pick and if they swing and miss, just use #7 for BPA.

We could just stop at 7

Not bullet dodged if trading for Brogdon is the back up plan!

We're cursed!

We decide to re-sign our players in the hope they replicate what they did in the 2020-21 season and become nice trade options. The result: Rose has ankle surgery twice, Noel misses pretty much the whole year with mysterious injury, Randle has an absolute meltdown in every way. Now Burke has foot surgery after becoming the most movable of the contracts just as we need to move him.

We trade for Cam to raise his value to flip and he has shoulder injury and is out for the rest of the season.

Grimes looks good and dislocates his knee

Covid strikes and every time a young player has a shot at showing what they can do, they have one breakout game then get covid.

You can't make this s** up!

I'm dubious of that twitter source as a few days ago they posted how Knicks fans should switch on their notifications, hinting some big move was happening that evening. When nothing happened they then tried to pretend the news about Johnny Bryant getting a second interview with the Jazz was what they'd been referring to and that's why it was important to turn on notifications, or some sort of crap like that!

Have us taking AJ Griffin:
Few teams expect the Knicks to be drafting here when all is said and done. The team is said to be aggressively exploring scenarios in which they will trade down, or trade out of the draft altogether if they can land a starting caliber-point guard such as Malcolm Brogdon. The Knicks could also create enough cap room by dumping significant salary on a team like Oklahoma City, in order to go after a big-name free agent -- Kyrie Irving, for example. If they decide to keep the pick, drafting a player such as Griffin, who is arguably the best shooter in the class after making 45% of his 3-pointers, could make sense. His 7-foot wingspan gives him significant potential defensively, he's one of the youngest players in the draft and he plays one of the most coveted positions in the modern NBA.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick
