We crowed a new champion, getting started 3rd week in December. Raptors might be camping out south of the north.
Free agency and the draft soon to commence.
Lots of juicy rumors and trades also to follow.
Hard liquor ads and more Vegas affiliation. League Whoring it out for revenue1
How to make a quick 4billion? Expand to Vegas and Seattle?
Welcome back the Delete 8. Do we see a skinny Zion? The second coming of KP delayed? Unexpected distress from his meniscus?

Does The Freak take the money then ask for a trade? Its a big number he’d be leaving behind by not.

Quasi Bubble? Raptors play out of Newark to reduce travel? More intra divisional games to save travel costs and time away? If Raptors play in Newark a can come in and play three teams without changing hotels. Boston, PHilly, Nets, Knicks and DC all clustered easy.
For that matter why play many games at home? teams can do mini bubbles like they used to do in the old days when they did double header games at the garden. seriously, they did **** like that!

And we likely are getting play in games!!!!! Might be a fun season even if just 72 games!

Best thing: Not long to wait until the 2021 Draft as a result of this! We'll have 2 drafts in the span of 7-8 months!

Anyone know what KP's recovery time frame is? Will he be back in Time for the start of the season? (just thinking for Dallas 2021 pick purposes)

He had surgery Oct 9th. I’m sure he‘ll tweet just how great and even better he’ll be when he returns.
KP is a Yao Ming type potential. The talent is not questioned, its just if he can stay on the court healthy. My guess is he’ll be slow to return and be held back as a precaution. Just a guess.

Fingers crossed- we need them to lose as many games as possible, though i think that will be more dependant on doncic than kp

Path would be in a season where KP then Doncic has health issues and at some point you pull the plug on the season and rest your stars for the next season.
Two young players its a doubtful. Perhaps then if by the trade deadline they somehow posture to dump players and ready for free agency.
Its a narrow path, but it happens.

Free agency opens on Nov 20! After a very slow offseason for knicks fans starting next week offseason news will explode frantically.

Practical Cap Space is defined as the amount of salary space available if a team renounces all free agents, waives any players non guarantees and rejects all team options. Below are the teams with "Practical cap space". If questions about if that practical cap space is real or not. See the column active cap to see what they'll probably retain and subtract the difference from practical cap. It will help in determining if that team has real cap or not. Only Detroit, NO and Atlanta real players here. The Heat could get someone but they are short 6 players

Signed Active Cap Dead Cap Practical Cap Space
1 Atlanta Hawks 9 $57,903,929 - $49,344,424

We need to find a way to get in the mix and corral another asset. I wish we could Jrue for ourselves and team him up with his brother, but I doubt the Knicks have the pieces for that. Leon has put it out there that the Knicks are open to help facilite a larger trade, so let's see. That's all you can ask for at this point.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

Jrue is wanted by playoff teams too much and you are right, Knicks don't have the assets that are expendable.

But I do think Knicks are positioning themselves to pick up picks and contracts, and I love that

I predict Leon will leave us scratching our heads. we won’t see the full picture nor will it be disclosed. Why? Thats not how it works. When you construct a building you have to dig DOWN to lay the foundation. The lower you go the taller you ca build. Fans will react to the obvious and freak the **** out.
We had hoped this will Phil.
Perhaps again with Mills.
The small minded will think a knick genetic trait. The clever will appear to be optimistic.
I don’t know what will happen but I trust a small minority of fans will for sure.

Ainge is ruthless, already looking at trading Kemba for Holiday!

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/260211/Celtics-Pursuing-Trade-For-Jrue-Holiday

Kemba was the invisible man in the playoffs, but he seems to have some sort of knee issue, that he battled all last season and flared up again in the playoffs despite the long rest.

Kemba pass on On Knicks but we don’t know what we offered. We looked bad but then look how a bad knee can do to a small guard when they hit 30? Its a tale told often!
They can’t go into playoffs with Haywood and Kemba. One or the other? They let Horford walk. Jordan let Kemba walk. Gotta know when not to do stupid things.
Kemba carried them until he could not. Tatum is the future closer. Makes sense to move him.

That’s actually more likely than most would think. KP is probably missing most of this upcoming season and Doncic’s ankle problems aren’t going away
