A lots of the media thinks that Thibs already has a foot in the knicks coaching doors. What if Thbs and the knicks brain thrust thinks that they can pattern the current roster to Thibs' Bulls line up? Maybe they think that they are already set at the pg position. Lets think of it this way, Thibs' calling card is his defense and the knicks has one of the best defensive guard in the league in Frank(if his offense further improves he might flourish under Thibs). But I think Frank will still be used as a back up to Thibs' Derick Rose 2.0- DSJ. Maybe by some miracle Thibs can unlock DSJ's potential and truly mold him to be like Rose.
Maybe instead of a Point guard target in the draft they are looking at Isaac Okoro- a player some think has the potential to be the next Jimmy Butler. We already have the center in Mitch (bulls-Noah), maybe Thibs can salvage RAandle to be close to what Boozer did for him with the bulls. RJ can definitely be a much better Deng.
Thibs' bulls line up had some shooters most notable- Korver, May be we have that already in Iggy or Dotson.
Somehow, im thinking, getting Thibs to stir the knicks coaching ship might not be a disaster after all , but knicks being the knicks it might still be a complete failure. I just hope we don't repeat the same coaching mistake the last time when we got Fiz over Budenholzer.
