At the rate Barret is going he would be the last person I would want to handle the ball or put the ball in his hands and we are down by 2 or up by 2. And not only him but the whole damn team just about can't shoot free throws. I don't see how he could be a number 3 pick with that record. Basketball 101 is hitting free throws. I think he could be a great player if he can hit those free throws. If he continue miss those shots he may have to come out of the game if its close because of his poor shooting and the free throw line.

Free throws aside Kid is a damn good player. In fact he was long considered the best all around talent. Free throws will get better he is only 19. Doesn’t change the fact he had been very very good

Bc he’s big, talented, can get to the hoop, plays defense, rebounds, has good court vision, seems humble, has a great attitude, has an advanced body type and he’s smart.
The shooting, free throw shooting and right hand are worth it.

RJ is like any/most young players he has weaknesses. He was drafted 3rd because of the other skills he brings to the game. It is up to Knicks to invest the time to develop him improve his weaknesses so they can reap the benefits
Hopefully Fiz does not give him the Frank treatment. Hopefully, unlike with Frank Fiz will stick with RJB through the rough times. Like with Frank if they take the time to develop RJ they will get a star type player on the other side.

The bigger question are how come ISO-Fiz are giving an inexperience rookie RJ practically all the SG minute over a 2-Way performance Dotson ??? Dotson's talent could use some more development in his 3rd season.

I would say it's because Dot is still getting his wind back, but I honestly don't know with this coaching staff.

Barrett needs to get into a better flow with his free throws. He usually only takes one bounce then raises the ball, stops, and then shoots with no flow. He needs to total retool his whole routine at the line.

Frank hitting those 2 free throws seems like the first time I have seen a knick player two free through in row in a long time. What is going on with these guys and free throws

He wasn’t a liability until he got to the NBA. It’s rhythm and confidence. He will get it straightened out in time.

Markell Fultz and Lonzo Ball were the first and second picks respectively in their drafts and they make Barrett look like Mark Price.

The kid has been given a ton of responsibility early on. The top two PG in the rotation, minuteswise are out. Too many minutes, big surprise Barrett csme down to earth. Wont be worried sbout about Barrett's FT shooting until some time next season. Too many positives to dwell for too long on this part of his game. He's a rookie.
