If you were given a Ferrari you'd complain the trunk is not big.
Give you Bentley you'd complain about the gas mileage,
Give you Tesla you'd complain about its range.
Give you a Prius you'd complain its too slow.
Give you a new escalade you'd complain it handles sloppy.
1. Both can shoot from the outside.
2. Both will move defense, Knox will have open looks. Same for Barrett, DSjr or anyone else.
3. Can trade for PG. Not sure you really need one. But lets assume so, you can trade. We have assets.
4. Unless you bring in AD via trade. Then its another problem.
They are very talented players, but to me, that's not a balance roster..Am i oppose to signing them both..Hell no, but those 2 would not be my first choice to pair together.
Marbury and Francis
Melo and Amare
Starks and Houston..
Can you name a championship team where that teams 2 best players played the same position..
Clyde and Earl the pearl.
Pippen/Jordan
Robinson/Duncan (1st chip)
Elvin Hayes (Played center before traded)/wes unseld
I named 4. Im stopping here. Might be more
You should stop because your embarrassing yourself
Earl was primarily a sg than anything
Jordan is also a SG and pip was a sf/pf
Robinson is Center and duncan a PF/C.
But like I said, I'm not oppose to it, it just would not be my first choice.
Of course you'll argue the nuances to defend your vomit. Earl was a PG before he came to NY. He played off the ball in NY more. Duh.
Pippen played 3 postions, he was a point forward at times. Bulls PG were not the primary ball handlers, they were off the ball sharp shooters. BJ Armstrong, Kerr, Porter, Paxton.......none strong penetraters, great outside shoot. Pip and Jordan were wings.
When Robinson retired, Duncan became the 5.
Siakim and Leonard are both wings.
It goes without saying no two players can play the same role at the same time. But your saying that Durant and Kawhi can't play together? That's absurd. NBA has many teams with "Positionless" players. Durant at 7 feet was able to play multiple positions. INside or out.
