That Dolans retreat int he Phil era and has continued is a very good sign. That Mills did not get forced to hire A Magic Johnson or any other starphuch GM is a very good sign. Perry was no superstar from another team seduced by a paycheck but a seasoned exec who has been solid.
Fiz is not a tired retread, he is an accomplished assistant with one stop to learn from in Memphis is not about what he has done but his potential.
This is all very different for us. WE want to feel good about the past performance of our FO but we can't. its about where we are going. A place unknown.

From a distance, seems like Knox didnt make waves the way Trier did, playing large parts of the game with blinders on. My guess would be that its more about where their respective games are, than it is about draft order. How they got signed.

If you watched Knox this season, you would have seen a player who needed a lot of work on offense. His takes to the rim were the best illustration of the need for reps.

Trier offensively looked like he was much further along. Look at his fg pct. Knox needed the reps to get to the next level. In some ways Trier was already there. He could afford to be more of a distributor. Guessing his teammates noticed this as well, and didnt appreciate Tier's ball stopping.

Good points. Trier is 22-23 years old and is polished. But a guard also distributes where Knox was a finisher. Knox needed the work. Trier once established had healthy problems but needed to progress into ball distribution. His personality might have also played into a bit of the problem. I would hope Fizz will work with him also.
