On the Left in Red is Nalod, who can't face the truth. Dude with his hand on his leg? who is that? Vmart? LOL. The guy in blue leaning on the wall all the way to the left, that's Marv. He halfway out the door into the darkness. The guy in Yellow with his hands on his face? That martin having to endure not just Rainman, but my retorts. Again! The folks going up the stairs? DJ, Playa, TMS.....all gone. And Bippity! The guy in the grey at the foot of the bed sleeping? That's Triple. Too much partying and wearing out the women! The guy in grey behind Martin, that's Briggs. Ranting. Behind him in red looking up and holding his nose? That's JROD who is looking for Melo to "come home"!

The dude in bed? Its the Rainman being unchained with some profound philosophical word salad!

yeah i was caught at a bad moment there. i had just realized that our trajectory is totally mis-timed to be in position to grab that 5th-grader who's water from 3.

Marv, The 5th grader plays on losing teams and developed bad habits!
His coach, Gym teacher "Izzy Fizstein" gives him the greenlight to shoot but his defense is suspect.
Per Steve Mills; "wait, isn't that Trey young out there??"
Gaines:" You can tell by the way he used his sippy cup, the kid had the goods back then".
Phil: "Can't tell a thing until puberty"!
Dolan: "He overcame his addiction to skittles, I admire that!"
Magic Johnson: "I'd pick him, but Lebron's got kids older than that, I have to go with it".
Lavar Ball: "Big Baller!!! Kid is good but not like my kids!"

Jrodmc - old guy in gray at the end of the bed, still thinking about whether winning the division was ever really part of reality, or was it just a Mooby-shaped shadow on the floor.
Socrates on the bed with his finger in the air - TripleThreat, telling everyone that Zion may go up, but the fat bastid MUST come down, while all the hype probably breaks a mirror (test) in the process.
martin - guy in red, reluctantly passing a cup of anti-misogyny meds to Triple. Pining away about all the traffic BRIGGS took to some other site.
Nalod - guy with his hand on Triple's leg, awestruck that he's really listening to someone who played in both the NBA AND the NFL. While simultaneously dreaming that the knee sprain might get Zion to fall out of the sky and land in Brooklyn somehow, while Frankie pulls out the first NBA Sophomore of the Year award. A screenplay for the upcoming "Return of the Rainman" is stuffed under his robes.
VCoug - guy with his face in his hands, wondering why everyone can't just still hate Melo and if the basketball gods are going to strike Triple with lightning for his blasphemously long anti-Zion diatribes.
knicks1248 - guy facing away at the far right, with his hand on his forehead, dealing with the migraine brought on by everyone's teen puppy love for Knox and Frankie and the fact that nobody cares that Hinkie is now a magic bean counter for the Denver Broncos.
GustavBahler - guy in blue, hands on the wall, simultaneously praying that Kanter wins DPOY in Portland and Tampa Bay trades Jameis Winston to the Gints for a first round draft pick.

alright, how about this.

The guy passing the cup is definitely Mills giving that rookie extension (injury clause and all)to KP, even the chalice is orange. But he knows that it ain't gonna happen. The guy with the finger is KP. Well , because its a metaphor. He really thinks he deserves better because he is all that. The guy holding his thigh is Janis. Janis is glad that KP thought of this almost by himself. Janis loves his brother so and wants only the best. It all looks legit as he is the closest person to KP on the painting. Durant and Kyrie are the 2 guys in the back, watching, behind the guy in green who is doing what could safely be described as a facepalm. Thats Phil Jackson who wanted to trade KP after the skipped exit interview. Who else do we have? ohh yeah , the guy ascending the stairs is Dolan with his band ahead, waving to the fans goodbye because finally he is hands off the team. The gray haired man behind Phil is your average Knick fan with his initial reaction to the trade. The man on the very right is Perry, having an eureka and realizing that trading KP is the only way. The guy in blue behind the sleeping man is THjr, poor man is devastated. He is just acting all butt hurt because he refuses to admit that he did not really improve his game much and at that contract he is not such a great asset to a team as a result. The last person here is the sleeping man. He is Dell Demps, sleeping through the trade deadline.

Good job guys!!! Thought I'd mix it up a bit. About this painting:

The Death of Socrates (French: La Mort de Socrate) is an oil on canvas painted by French painter Jacques-Louis David in 1787. The painting focuses on a classical subject like many of his works from that decade, in this case the story of the execution of Socrates as told by Plato in his Phaedo. In this story, Socrates has been convicted of corrupting the youth of Athens and introducing strange gods, and has been sentenced to die by drinking poison hemlock. Socrates uses his death as a final lesson for his pupils rather than fleeing when the opportunity arises, and faces it calmly.[1] The Phaedo depicts the death of Socrates and is also Plato's fourth and last dialogue to detail the philosopher's final days, which is also detailed in Euthyphro, Apology, and Crito.

In the painting, an old man in a white robe sits upright on a bed, one hand extended over a cup, the other gesturing in the air. He is surrounded by other men of varying ages, most showing emotional distress, unlike the stoic old man. The young man handing him the cup looks the other way, with his face in his free hand. Another young man clutches the thigh of the old man. An elderly man sits at the end of the bed, slumped over and looking in his lap. To the left, other men are seen through an arch set in the background wall.
