Surely to God they must know who they are getting already to be even considering going down this route. They must have 2 free agents lined up and feel secure that they are arriving in NY. Surely? Surely?

WTF? This is pissing me off. Unless Doncic is coming then I don't want anything from Dallas.

We will probably end up winning more games and lessen our chances of the top 3 pick. Its mind boggling how this franchise operates.

Well....I'd only feel a good if we end up with KD and Kyrie this summer

A few of us were roundly criticized for suggesting this might happen, and citing the same bull****. I love KP and want him here (not so much his brother)

But I think he wants to be in an organization where they have at least a puncher's chance every year and perhaps be the favorite once in a while. At least with Phil there was a vision and a plan -- even if bad execution.

I suspect he got the impression that we went from bad (Phil) to worse (current situation). we have no identity, no direction, just a lot of talk. ANd personally I'm tired of the arguments about team being so young. Our defense is worse than it was with Hornacek -- we've added Mitch, VOnleh, we play Dot, more youth on the wings and we're worse. Then there's the pure ISO offense which was purportedly why we wanted to dump Melo (reasonably IMO); now our player development effort is to develop a bunch of Melo-clones

If KP moves, I'm taking a time-out for a bit. I don't care who we get in return. This will be historically bad even just from a karma perspective

Waiting to hear Crushalot, Uptown etc spin how this could be a good thing

Phil could be high on weed and peyote and not do worse than this.

Surely KP went into Mills and Perry and called them both clueless, and they're showing him who is boss -- and we get DSJ to play ISO because Fizzdale is as clueless as Mills and Perry

this is some horrible joke

We won't know how good or bad this trade is until we see who we get in the summer. If we come up empty this might be one of the worse trades in Knicks history.

Ha, so much for KP for AD. Either our FO knows that KP is done health wise, or we are truly the worst franchise in the history of professional sports.
Maybe Dolan steps in and stops this insanity?

Wrong. That is just delusional

We know right now this was a complete raping -- I can't think of a worse trade. we gave away an elite player to swallow a salary dump of THJ (who would be a good player in #2 or #3 role) and Lee -- we could have dumped those guys with a smaller sweetener

Also keep in mind the new players might be good enough to disrupt the beloved tank

We must think we can sign Kyrie and KD. Why trade for cap space this year?

Right, you don't just trade KP to get rid of Lee/THJr.

I am not exactly sure what I said that was delusional. All I said is that what happens in the summer will tell. I never gave an opinion on the trade. If we get KD and another superstar with the cap space then I don't think the trade would be viewed that badly. If we come away with nothing this summer this trade will set us back years. With our luck we will also drop to the lowest we can in the draft.
