Just the kind of start was hoping for from our rooks. Makes me optimistic about the direction of the franchise. Some nice drafting there.

Yeah, but that's four years down the road.

not sure why you are impressed...he's made a couple of good passes but shooting has been atrocious. Needs to get comfy like Dotson did.

Well....I've been studying this game for over 40 yrs now. I look at so many things outside of just points. Hes a keeper. combo guard. If he took Frank's spot I wouldn't be upset. Hes a gunner....always been in college. Gunners sometimes are streaky. That will improve. I rather have a gunner whos coachable than someone shy with his jumper. Frank is still ahead of him....but look out for Trier in the future....he has a tight dribble compared to Frank's high dribble.. quick lateral movement. good balance. not afraid of the moment.. which is what I love in young guys.

I'm at the game right now and Fiz was yelling at players on the court the whole game.

Agree with all of this. The ball did seem to stick to him a bit though.

We now have our number 2 scorer. Knox is the truth and he is only 18!!! Robinson is going to be great but he needs to spend the year in the G-League. Frank has got to get more aggressive but he did show up at the end of the game. This team is going to be solid. I cannot wait for the season to start.

Nice. Any observations that we wouldn't have seen in the broadcast? Also, are you going to tomorrow's game?

he made up for it in the second half, but overall i'd say he was O.K....streaky like you said. I do like his dribble.
Frank...something tells me second game will be a better showing.

At the moment... #2 scorer is THJr, KP being #1

See....I like to call out good players while they struggle. When he was bad early on. read my post. I was the only one who liked him.....I wasn't worried about his miss shots in the 1st half.

There are and will be plenty of PGs who can set others up. Trey Burke impacts the game on offense like trae young. I'm glad we didn't draft him.

Any other year and the board would be nuts for Trier. This isn't a Randle/Baker type summer league team.

Regarding Hawks...John Collins 30 points and almost 10 rebounds. Trae Young 11 assists?

Nah, Knox is going to be a better scorer than Hardaway unless Hardaway gets more efficient. It will take Knox a year or so for him to get there but this kid has a real scorer's mentality and skills. He is going to be a 20 pt scorer. And he looked solid on defense.

agreed. Kid can score and pass but can be inconsistent too. Bad shot selection and plays zero defense

Box score shows lots of shared mins and shots...Nice.
Wonder which one of the G-League players will get an opportunity next game.
