Question for those who are big fans of him: Are there any expectations of him this year that he should meet or is his upcoming season an unconditional success based on what he is currently already?

Must improve his efficiency. But players that can guard 1-4, beast man to man defense, shoot, put the ball on the floor, create for others. Having these combination of skills are very very hard to come by. He isn't efficient enough in the shooting though for that to be considered a plus for him yet but he is capable. He also showed flashes of floaters, turn around, post gsme at separate times throughout the season. As well as pull ups off the dribble from 3 or mid range. Again hasn't been consistent enough to claim it as his game yet but he has shown flashes with good form and in control. It's up to his work ethic which he has in spades to put in the reps to get it down. He also seems to be transforming his body.

He may not be a pure PG. But he also can do things that most PGs cant. For example if you have a PG who can guard whoever he switches onto. There aren't many PGs that can claim that. That is game changing type of ability. As if the PF/C can also not get destroyed guarding the perimeter off the switch and that's if Frank even allows the switch to be successful.

I saw a few signs of progress from Frank during the final games that implied development.

1) He went down the middle and attempted to dunk it on Nets big man Fraser. The attempt was blocked, but I applaud the effort and he drew the foul.

2) He showed a willingness to shoot the three ball more, whether from the sideline or from the top of the key. With his new height,(6'6"!), and increased strength, I expect more forays into the paint and an increase in his three point shooting.

Hope to see improvement as early as the summer league

Frank is older today than when this thread was created. News at eleven.

What the hell is going on with Frank's right foot? Look at the size of that shoe. What size feet does he have?

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

I'd be very happy if Frank turns into a G.Hill-type on offense and adds top-shelf defense -- both of which seem achievablee

i wouldn't trust that unless it's on the knicks site.

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

Frank, Knox, KP and Robinson on the court @ the same time would be a very long, athletic defensive team. That lineup would shrink the court...

Add Dotson and that defense is downright suffocating.

George Hill?

yes.

Of course i'd be happier if he had more offense than that, but I think that level is very realistic

I'd also like to think that with the right coaching and schemes he can exploit his height and length. Seems like there are a lot of pgs who could be exposed with him doing under control baby hooks, push shots etc. He doesn't need to beat them with speed and razzle dazzle.

And already an elite defender.

Discuss.

Bamba and Bridges are great defenders. Frank is already there and at a very important position. Can you imagine Frank, Mitchell and KP out there defensively? (OK, not best man to man on the big guys, but still, will be exciting.) And I have hope defensively for Knox. Finally, a young and promising team. And probably we have a another lotto pick coming.
