Could the Knicks trade Kanter? He is either a one year contract or he opts out giving them immediate relief on the cap. Tim makes sense if they see themselves as contending.

Can't trade Kantyer until he "officially opts in"

The only guys I would pay significantly for are Bamba and Trae Young. If you can get #4 (Bamba) without giving up next years pick or Frank, you have to go for it. The contract situation with Parsons is on a reasonable timeline given our situation and offers some protection from making poorer longer time buys.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

yes this.

The only guy I DONT like at 4 is Bagley

When all is said and done, Bagley has the potential to end up being the best player in the draft...No way he's there at 4 though...

Bamba is my favorite in this draft outside the top 2-3. This would be a dream for me and a great fit with KP and add next years likely #1 lottery and we have a great young team. KP, Bamba, FN, #1 next year. Great D!

Also sounds like the Celtics really want Bamba. Let's say Bulls and Knicks both offer to swap and take Parson's contract. Then knicks and bulls will likely need to add an additional young player especially for salaries to work. Hardaway seems like a guy that could really help Memphis. Same with Courtney Lee. Who would the Bulls include?
Bamba seems to me as someone that you could justify most years drafting with the #1 pick overall. This year has a bunch of very high ceiling players that seem to be even more established already (Ayton, bagley etc..).

Do the knicks need to wait until the Hawks officially don't draft Bamba? Is there another guy that they would love at #4? Luka? I say try and make the deal now before other teams come swooping in last minute.

I'd trade to #4 for Doncic, Bamba and definitely JJJ who i think is a great fit next to KP cause both can play the 4 or 5 and JJJ has game on both sides of the ball. I'd have to give it more thought but i might even choose JJJ over Bamba.

Is it realistic to think that this trade could happen without giving up Frank or #9? Much prefer giving up 9 if given the choice.

Does Fizdale's relationship with them help or hurt negotiations?

Hardaway and Lee (2nd stint) would be great additions for their playoff aspirations and Parson albatross of a contract would come off their books. Seems like they could get a better haul though.

I think this means the front office is backing Fizdale and building a team that suits what he wants to do. The Knicks have not had a front office and coaching staff that had the same vision since Grunwald/Woodson. Bamba with KP would be awesome.

Bamba is going to be a BEAST!!! With minutes, he can average a double-double next year...He will be a dominate shot-blocker and rebounder...He's quick enough to stay with guards on the perimeter for several dribbles on the switch...And he is developing a nice perimeter shot....Dude is going to be dominant...

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

They had to hide him on defense at Duke, and I don't even follow college ball and I know that

I'd be happy with JJJ too. He's a better fit with KP probably.

I'd certainly prefer JJ over Bamba if we trade up to 4, but JJ will probably be gone and Bamba will probably be there.

We do actually have a few vets that would be nice for them -Lee, Kanter or Thomas fit nicely with their window (gasol and conley).

I would be delighted if we could do a Kanter and Lee and not include the 9th,but I'm not so excited about just moving up for Bamba (and not convinced he's better than Jackson anyway)

I think Timmy and 9 would get the deal done without an issue though I’d be sad to see Timmy go.

Your risking that on a player that may turn into a Hasheem thabeet, I'm sure memphis brass are having major flash backs in their head
