With all the positive things I've heard and read about David Tizdale, I can't help being cautiously optimistic about what may be on the horizon. Then it dawned on me that he is the second head coach in Knicks history with the letter Z, in his last name. The other of course being Red Holzman, - who as we all know - is the only Knicks head coach to win an NBA championship. Wouldn't it be something if David Fizdale, is the second. That sure would be zatisfying, don't ya think!

On the Knicks reddit board someone posted a tweet from some ex griz bloggers that nick van excel is going to be joining the Knicks coaching staff after all

i think the press release left open the possibility of adding another one (can't remember the exact wording). Anyways, here's where its from- it would be a weird, pointless thing for them to make up:

love nick van exel on the knicks coaching staff if it's true. tough player will demand lots from his players, make them tough mentally and get that "no conscience no hesitation" confidence going for our tentative players.
