You made the same exact thread. Frank was the 8th overall pick just last year. They arent giving him away along with a early 2nd for a late first rounder lol. The only was frank is traded is to get into the top 5 or something

Gosh, Briggs...could have sworn that you were the guy wanting to build through the draft...you do know that means developing, not just drafting, players...right?

You want to revisit this 2/3 years down the road...maybe, but I expect that by then, Frank will be on the untouchable list.

Exactly. Yes when know his offense is behind His great defense...at least right now. But trading him a year after picking him 8th PLUS throwing in the 36th pick for a late first is crazy. The other team would take that deal and run

The Knicks could get the Clippers 12 and 13, based on todays value given the marketplace. ( They would be assessing his retrade value at the deadline)

Ntilikina is a cost control wing with length who can be an elite defender ( the tool set is there, whether it fully materializes remains to be seen) and if he can get to a league average three point shot, would be extremely valuable. He can, if fully realized, play positionless basketball. He has the potential to be a future DPOY. I thought he did well considering he was getting no calls in his favor ( he's a rookie) and didn't have a full scouting profile on the guys he was defending.

If he went up for trade, the Warriors, Spurs, Rockets, 76ers, Celtics, Thunder, Lakers, Clippers would all be instantly interested. Western teams who have to face the Warriors would want him the most.

He took a lot of criticism on this board this past year, but he was 19 years old and a rookie playing too many minutes for his current developmental level. A lot of people are upset that he might not hit their expected view of his ceiling without considering his floor is very accessible and very valuable. So he might never be a Top 10 elite player in the league, that doesn't negate his actual value to the Knicks and other teams.

People keep screaming Donovan Mitchell's name around here. Sure, he's good. But it's been one year. Give Ntilikina his full three years to see what he might be.

In almost every other case, you overestimate the Knicks trade value, in this case, you've underestimated it.

When people say the Knicks have nothing to trade, what they mean is aside from assets that the Knicks should practically keep. Like Zinger and Frank N.

Great Post!

Lets just keep drafting players then trade them 1 year later- who needs patience or player development!

No point in trading a player like Nitty before his 2nd season. The chances of his value increasing are high! He’s going to get better than he was as a rookie. I expect him to live up to his #8 pick expectations. I see him as a Core Piece. Not trading him for mystery meat.

when you have the attention span of a fly and no accountability its easy to fire off suggestions without considerations.
Deals are there like food at a buffet just waiting for you.
Throw in a protected pick to make it sweet.

No way are you getting #12,13 for Frank and #36. Again this isn't the NFL where they have a chart with draft values. Jerry west is way too smart to do that trade.

Briggs-- Frank is 2 yrs away from being 2 years away

There is some truth to this...

Wonder if Knicks brass ever look at this forum? They might have a few chuckles.

I don't see us getting a lottery pick for Frank and #36.

The highest pick I could see us getting is the 18th pick from San Antonio, however I don't see a better prospect at #18 than Ntilikina. I doubt he'd go as high this year as he did last year, but I could see him being a lottery pick for sure with his potential.

Is Frank a better prospect than Shai Alexander?

Frank would not go top 13 in this draft.

You want pick 15 or Frank? I'm thinking in this draft you stay in
