Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey offered a cryptic response when asked about the New York Knicks' struggles on the court.

In an "Ask Me Anything" thread on Reddit, a fan asked Morey what the Knicks should change so they don't "suck forever."

"There is a common denominator to all their issues," Morey replied, per The Score's Andrew Joe Potter.

Morey didn't elaborate on his answer.

Dolan?

Combination of Dolan, NY Media, fans, and the City which makes Knicks exceptional entertainment and commercial product not successful pro sport club.

He didn't say anything, every thing is based in speculation. He said nothing. There is nothing to see here. Just more fodder for ppls overactive imaginations. But he said nothing.

It’s Dolan. Not the media, the fans. You can’t rebuils? Same story for 18 years, we are a bottom 5 franchise that benefits from the city and corporate sponsors and suite holders.

Never a plan.

This is common knowledge!!!! Knowledgeable fans have known it was Dolan for years!! Is it more relevant because Morey says it?!

Honestly, Dolan has been pretty hands off the last few years. His singing sucks, but that has nothing to do with the Knicks.

LOL....Honestly...All we need from Dolan is to sign the checks and let the basketball people make all of the decisions.

Hopefully it remains that way. The signing of Perry seems to confirm this....Hopefully he doesn't meddle and let the GM and Prez do what they are paid to do.

Not defending Dolan but this is such bull****.he was hands on before Phil and everyobe cried. When he hired Phil he said he was hands off. Within a year every talking head in the NY media was ****ing crying for him to do something when Phils plan wasn't something they agreed with.

phil did a piss-poor job and deserved to b fired!!! This plan you speak of changed every several months and instead of bringing respectability to the organization, he made it more of a circus than it already was.

What we want is for him to hire a smart front office guy to run the team and get the **** out of the way. It isn't good enough to just get out of the way when the person you have running the team is a moron.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

If Phil was here we would of tanked this season and traded Porzingis for a haul of draft picks. Now, we are stuck in limbo being held hostage by the brothers Porzingis. Phil was right we should of traded him. Even with a miracle in this draft and a miraculous recovery by KP this is going to be minimum 2 more years of rebuilding. More likely we have 3, maybe 4 more years of losing. The brothers Porzingis don't want any part of our plan. So either Porzingis goes to Dolan and forces his hand to trade 3 first rounders for Leonard or we lose all our leverage in trade in his final year when he says I'm only resigning in 1 location.

Dolan is the owner.
Meddling or not he has the last word.
Team making money for him all this years this way or another.
So who is a fool? Not him for sure.
Not all this countless GMs, Coaches, and star players who suck in NY.
They all made a ton of money for nothing.
Fools are NY fans. No question about it.

what a lame shot- just when Dolan seems to have stepped away and put a qualified team in place.
