Yeah --- amazingly long year for a teenager moving away from family to a different continent, to NYC and into the NBA ----- great rookie season simply because he hung in there and played a LARGE % of games.

There was a lot of talk on this board before the draft about how Frank's pro experience would make transitioning to the NBA easier from a competitive standpoint. Guess that was half right. Frank's pro experience didnt let him bypass the learning curve almost all rookies have to go through, but it did help him to keep it together during the span of a much longer season than he's used to. Stayed focused and positive.

As soon as he started playing PG again, things got more familiar. Fans should just be happy that Frank is finding his offense, PLay him where he is most comfortable.

Burke was uncharacteristically passive tonight. Went to the rim enough but gave up the ball a lot. Would have been great to see both Frank and Trey being aggressive at the same time.

Frank and Trey did share a lot of time but not all. I like this site for showing who was on/off and what they did: http://popcornmachine.net/gf?date=20180409&game=CLENYK

Bookmarked for next season, thanks. Was hoping to see them be more of a one two punch last night. Just glad Frank is showing a glimpse of what he can do when he's in the zone.

For a rookie there are many challenges. He got stronger, added muscle and weight. For a teenager, not an easy feat.
He did not get arrested, shot, stabbed or accused of Rape or hitting a girl. Sounds awful, but all the above has happend.
He did not brag, mope, point fingers, or complain.
He played 78 games. He is considered the best parimeter defensive player in his class.
His coaches like him, and he does not back down from conflict with the best player of this generation. He is not braggadocios or arrogant.
He is a good learner and has improved in many ways.

What we don't like: He does not shoot enough, he passes too much, he is not strong for an NBA player and he is not confident in his shot.
Most of this is fixable and developmental.
I don't trade this kid unless im blown away. If spurs come a calling for this kid I hide. If Dolan trades this kid it will haunt us for years.
Im not saying untouchable, but better damn well know what in the hell we are doing.
