There is an article at P&T about Frank having a great night at PG. Almost all the damage he did on offense was in the first half, off the ball, with Burke at point. As soon as he started playing PG again, things got more familiar. Fans should just be happy that Frank is finding his offense, PLay him where he is most comfortable.

Burke was uncharacteristically passive tonight. Went to the rim enough but gave up the ball a lot. Would have been great to see both Frank and Trey being aggressive at the same time.

Yeah --- amazingly long year for a teenager moving away from family to a different continent, to NYC and into the NBA ----- great rookie season simply because he hung in there and played a LARGE % of games.

Posted in another thread but Frank starting to remind me of Rolando Blackman -- 6'6" sharp-shooter, outstanding defender & 4 time all-star.

Blackman came into the league at 22.5 years of age and avg. 13, 3 and 1 in his rookie season (playing 82 games).

In 2-3 years at 21/22 --- Frank will be putting up very nice #s and I think he will be playing mostly SG.

Jesus just checked -- frank won't turn 22 until the start of the 20/21 season in 3 years.

A mini version of Pippen is an interesting comparison, especially on the defensive end, but Pippen was also someone teams would give the jumper to until he became more confident with it. I do think that Pippen was the better athlete, though.

Of note..Pippen was 22 when he entered the league...a full 3 years older than Frank...must always be considered when looking at players from other eras.

One thing not mentioned much...Frank put on 9 pounds DURING the season, which is tough to do. You can see some growth in his upper body. A combination of maturity and weights will make him a different player on D, but should also allow him to go to the basket more and either finish with contact or create a foul.

I have said this before, he might have grown and I think it was written in a few places that he might still be growing.
