very odd. Perry started the year talking about Willy as a core young player. Then he gets moved for a guy who's prob out of the NBA next year and 2nd round picks.

I would love to know what about Willy so soured them to dump him for what amounts to nothing in the NBA

Bitching about PT and your not out playing anyone, that doesn't sit to well in the locker room, it sounds selfish.

Your basically telling the coaching staff, you need to sit someone so i can play.

That's how I feel about it. Good riddance to the crybaby. All the posters crying about the return should go become Hornet fans. No player above the team!

They definitely don't like Willy.

ALso Obryant has only this year on his contract. Willy has 2 more years.

Maybe for having the temerity to think he should be getting minutes based on last year. Agent probably asked for a trade.

But, bs. KPs buddy traded for a sack of peanuts!

I trust their FO & coach! I don't the Knicks - not after this BS move and watching Jeff all year.

Willy was making no money. His contract should have been a huge selling point.

If as reported this is cringe worthy

I doubt they were offered anything better. Guy was NEVER going to be able to defend. Had to go. Hornets are rebuilding and will have low 2nd RD picks for years to come. More opportunities to get real NBA players not fools gold.

Let's see: Traded for Dwight Howard, signed non all-star Batum to $20M+ for 5 years total, drafted Monk and then did give him DNPs, have all-star PG and same record as the Knicks.

watching Jeff all year? Getting Frank 20mpg? Benching Beas to have him come back as one of our best scorer? Lee/KOQ have career years? KP to the all star game... yea Jeff has been bad. Not. Thats cool. Nets look great. I always enjoyed Quincy Acy.

Maybe your right, but this is the first negative since Perry/Mills took over. Last move this board went on tilt over was Hardway who hasnt been healthy but everyone was wrong on.

We'll see. Deadline is tomorrow.

Honestly **** this team.

Absolute disgrace. He’s making 1.3MM s year and can average close to a double double with minutes. Why did we not play him and move him in the offseason.

Embarrassing trade as per usual.

I think he meant the Nets but really, whats the diff.

There was an article recently about Willy "feelin' himself" in camp when he came back this season after a good rookie year. Sounds accurate, judging by the way things have transpired this season. Word might have gotten around, and depressed his value since he hasnt been able to crack the rotation.

Not a deal to write home about, hopefully this is just the first domino to fall.
