I'm thinking of the Spurs, Robinson, and Duncan, when I think of KP's injury.

KP has not played an entire season. He's had these little nagging injuries.

Some guys are just made of glass, their brittle and they break down (see Derek Rose)

Others play every game - see Robin Lopez.

Sometimes bigs recover and end up eventually having a healthy career- see Brook Lopez.

It's not safe to assume anything. The landing was a freak injury like any other in the league. It had nothing to do with his size and is not any way similar to Sampson's issues. That's all i'm saying.
