Turkey's state-run news agency says prosecutors are seeking more than four years in prison for NBA player Enes Kanter on charges of insulting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Anadolu Agency says an indictment prepared by the Istanbul chief prosecutor's office accuses the New York Knicks player of insulting the president in a series of tweets he posted in May and June 2016. |

"You heard"? This the "Word on the street"? Takes just a few seconds to look it up.
He had a Turkish passport. Not a Swiss. He was born in Switzerland but what does that mean? That U.S. rules apply globally? Of course not. Nothing in anything read (google it) says "Dual citizenship". This is a guy as he is quoted as saying he is without a country. Because he will be persecuted he should get a faster track to be a U.S. Citizen as some form of "Escape persecution". Pretty well documented. Trump is buddies with this Turkish President so maybe he goes missing in the night and lands in Istanbul. Remember this dude when he visted the U.S. had his security detail actually engage physically with protesters in Washington. Very uncool btw. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/19/turkey-president-erdogan-trump-said-sorry-about-dc-violence-involving-turkish-bodyguards.html Trump is a wuss. Those goons had no right to lay a finger on anyone on U.S. soil. Trump then apologizes? As for Enes political views he obviously does not have the same rights as those here in the U.S.. Or at least while we have the 1st amendment. Seems we take that forgranted but have no problem backing the 2nd amendment. Enes should be worried as this government is not as sympathetic as previously. So if he is sent off, does his contract still stick to our cap? This is why CEO's back both candidates. You sometimes need a favor. |
