Anyone see Fultz new jumpshot? He changed his form and it looks awkward and uncomfortable. Not sure why he would do that. Reminiscent of Landry Fields doing the same thing, and forgetting how to shoot altogether, although i know some injury concerns played a part in that.

I tried to check out their open scrimmage off youtube. They only had one highlight of him attempting a monster dunk which he missed. Other then that it looked like Steph Curry and JJ Barea were scoring at will on him. But there wasn't enough on the highlight clips to really take anything away from them. I figured there would be more highlights of him but only the one missed dunk.

I figure he will be a really good offensive player. Can't watch the game but keep me posted on his defense. Then again it is preseason so even then.

Im not following their practices, but I'm not sure DSJ should get the nod over Yogi yet. Mavs have a nice camp battle for PG.

Not the way Smith is having trouble finding the net. The other aspects of his game looked good. When DSJ is more comfortable taking it to the rim, it will open up the Mavs offense.

Lost a lot of weight. Looks quicker on offense. Hopefully that translates to defense as well.

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/247639/NBA-Considering-Balanced-Schedule-1-16-Seeding-For-Playoffs

The NBA is considering seeding teams from 1-16 in the playoffs while eliminating conference affiliation.

With the Western Conference typically having more depth of quality teams, the NBA has long been imbalanced.

"Reformatting the playoffs is something we'll continue to look at," Adam Silver said. "I think though it would require revisiting the regular-season schedule as well. As I've said before, we don't play a balanced schedule now, as I'm sure you know. And for those that don't, that means that teams in the East play each other more than they play teams in the West. And our feeling is, if we were going to seed 1-16, we would need to play a balanced schedule to make it fair for everyone if we were going to seed 1-16 in the playoffs. It may be that as we continue to experiment with the number of days over which we can schedule 82 games that it will create more of an opportunity for a balanced schedule."

Stephen Curry said he'd enjoy playing in a postseason that included the 16 best teams in the league, regardless of their conference, which is a sentiment many other players have expressed.

embiid

Philadelphia could still have $40M in cap space next season even with the Joel Embiid extension. Embiid had a $18.3M cap hold in 2018-19 and Philadelphia will lose roughly $7M in room with the new $25.3M salary. The 76ers now have $57M in guaranteed contracts

hey lets reward a guy for playing really well for a handful of games base on his potential(see baker)..in fact lest give him 25 million per...sixers are the dumbest franchise on the planet

been on roster for 3 years, playing 31 games last season. 31 games over 3 seasons.

Three huge issues here

A) Only 79 out of a total potential 105 playoff games were played last year. Big impact on revenue. More of a factor, big sticking point with the networks who want a ROI ( return on investment) in spending billions to broadcast the games. More top teams means longer series. The league can only pad a series so much with their fake @ss ref cheating system. To try to pad the Finals, the Warriors literally got mugged for a Cavs win. It wasn't even funny how blatant is was, and the league simply cannot run into the Cavs and Warriors destroying everyone to watch the Warriors sweep everyone again.

B) LeBron James has a lifetime Nike contract. Notice this kind of thing doesn't matter when LBJ is in the East and Nike wants him in the Finals yet again in an easy cakewalk. Now that LBJ is clearly going to the West and the Lakers, Nike doesn't want the Lakers to get a low seed and get trampled by the Warriors fast and early and dirty. It's bad enough Nike can't gift LBJ another ring, it's another thing to watch LBJ get bounced in the FIRST ROUND because of seeding and the tough West.

C) Top heavy disparity means Western teams will have an easier time tanking. But that is not what Silver wants. When he rigs the lottery, he wants full options to make it look almost legit when Team X wins the first pick ( usually this would be a team recently sold for a record price or a team who has "it's turn")

Why doesn't the league just let LBJ wear a giant headlamp, with a huge Nike logo on it, so he can blind other players as he crab dribbles to the rim?

It's bad enough that specific Eastern teams get their PEDS testing ( yeah, the "random" ones) in the 2nd half , forcing player to cycle down and making it easier for LBJ, as his "random" tests all clear in the first half, so he can coast to the Finals.

Nike marketing people probably get excited to the point of jizzing their pants when they see a viral video of a bunch of ignorant mindless idiots trample each other to death for some rare released kicks. And these are the douchebags pulling the strings on crap like this. Why don't they just make a rim that expands when LBJ shoots it and contracts to nothing when the Warriors shoot it. It's just more important to sell shoes I guess. Gag.

Since you came on this board you have been way off in regards to trade value. - Briggs 7/28/2015
