Wow. Go ahead run on second with nobody out and the top of the order... picked off after straying too far.

Torreyes shoulders too now. Ugh

Awful. No excuse.

Judge is just swinging (and missing) at anything down and away.

Oh man, Girardi's decision is even worse than I realized. I didn't know you get two challenges in postseason games and we still had both left. And the answer he's giving the media is that he didn't want to interrupt Green's rhythm. What rhythm? Everyone was getting on base. WTF?! This is ridiculous.

It's easy to focus on that especially with what followed, may have begin the turning point in the game. But there's no excuse for how we played the rest of the game either

Yeah I'd agree. There is still plenty of blame to go around, and I generally don't like the idea of blaming just one person. I'm just really pissed right now.

Girardi had an awful game. 6th inning terrible. He over managed again. Took CC out too early, left Green in too late, never challenged, took Frazier out for a runner when Frazier has decent speed. Frazier much better defensively probably would have had that last ground ball. Girardi really ****ed up.

If we lose this series, it will be interesting to see how the Steinbrenners and Cashman respond. Do they feel that anyone (including a manager) can have a bad game and feel that Girardi has a good body of work overall? Or do they feel he hasn't done anything special and can't be depended on?

I always felt Girardi only managed by the book. No feel for people or the game. I rather see Holiday batting any day than Headley. I think the Steinbrenners love Girardi and nothing is going to change that unfortunately.

I guess Joe realized how ridiculous his excuses sounded and changed his mind. I'd rather hear him saying "I screwed up" than giving ridiculous excuses. I'll give him a little credit now though I'm still pissed.

I feel that’s the firsttims I heard a coach/manager say he screwed up. He gets respect for that in my book... but I am with you. I am still livid. Hopefully the Yankees rally for him the same way they bear Oakland in 2001.

I agree. It's a tall task though. Cleveland has lost 4 of their last 39 games. Now we need them to lose 3 in a row.

Lots of papers reporting that Chapman liked a social media post calling Girardi an imbecile and saying his contract shouldn't be renewed. This is ugly. I don't like Chapman doing that while the team is still in the playoffs.

At least we're still in it. That was a great game. Tanaka and Chapman were great. (Chapman's been great, 1248!) I wonder if Chapman is available today. We need Severino to be able to relax and pitch his best.

If this goes back to Cleveland, I hope Girardi has the guts to start CC rather than Gray.

I think Joe deserves a lot of credit. Easily could've buried Birdy after the tough year, easily could've gone with Head or Holliday at 1B, but he didn't. He likes him and he stuck with him down the stretch of the reg. season and into the playoffs. Plus, he faced the fire after that no-challenge the other night and took the heat. Thought it was DEAD WRONG for the hometown crowd to boo him the way they did last night. How 'bout how he handled the pitching staff the way he did against the Twins? He handled it perfectly and w/o that, there is no Indians series.. Nobody cares more than Joe, man. Big Girardi guy, both my wife and I. Always have been, always will be. Cashman too. I'm good with those two at the controls moving forward.

Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, we're definitely ahead of schedule with A TON going for us and A LOT to look forward to. Great to see. GO YANKS!!!!

Good call. I think you're right. CC's the way to go in a game 5. God willing we get there.
