Seems he averaged 17 points per game once once Korver got traded.
He got humiliated by being sent to the D league to learn how to play real defense.
Apparently -- there is league wide belief that this kid is on the rise.
The Knicks cap hold from Rose is not lost if the Hawks match.

The sheet is a poison-pill style deal on Atlanta in the 4th year worth about 19m.

even if that happens, it doesnt mean you just throw money at players that dont deserve it. thjr had a decent year after the 1st of january, but he's not a 10mm a year player, let a lone almost 20....

Nah it actually makes sense. The Melo Trade rumors must be true and CLee is going too cuz that's the only way this makes sense.

He made a major leap at age 24 so I like it. He's barely older than Dotson and Baker and has improved tremendously on both ends of the court.

On vacation sitting at a fire and it came up I my phone. I thought it said 4 yrs 7 mil and I thought it was a great signing. This sucks.

offer came within a few hours of the end of summer league. Guess they didn't think dotson was ready. So breaking it down

Does this jibe with youth movement? Yes, sort of.
Cap friendly? Definitely not
Defense? I still think holliday was better on D.
Help the tank? haha, maybe but why pay 71m for that?

Bottom line--head scratcher even if lee and melo are moved.
