Great pickup. A lights out shooter who can create and rebound the hell out of the ball. I guess no Justin then?

He won Potsmouth MVP, tested really well athletically at the combine and has worked hard to improve his image. Had a great last year in Houston, was great from 3, was good on defense and was great on the boards. Good size. He's got a good chance to make the team. Thats what these picks are for.

I really don't put much stock on the info that Phil was nodding off. I care about his scouting team. He trusts them and they have performed.

It looks like we got a future rotation player here. The guy can shoot and has a decent all around game.

Interesting...known for being a below average passer during his college career, but averaged 6 APG in the PIT and showed similar passing ability in the Draft Combine games.

Change of focus on his part...or was he not used properly in Houston?

I suspect his agent told him teams know you can shoot; show them you can do other things

Could be but what is most important is that he can pass! The key is getting him in our system and grooming him in the TEAM mindset. Never have enough legit 3nD players.

Last season he had a 126.8 Offensive Rating and a 98.3 Defensive Rating!!!

I love this pick... if he hadn't come with baggage and hadn't sat out then transferred I do think he'd be a late first round pick. Guy who catch and shoot but can't create get taken there... usually they can't d up either

Saw that he played at Portsmouth.

Seems like a classic sniper.

Hes a taller Langston Galloway.

that's not true at all. Dotson doesn't really play defense. He doesn't pass either but oh well.

Saw a few vids, he looks more like a natural classic 2 than a combo guard or anything like that.
Gallo has more PG skills.
This guy looks like he has better shooting form and shooting ability.

Looks like a bench sniper. Maybe a 3nD guy if he works on his D because scouts say he has all tools for defend.

His shot looks like joe Johnson

This is a better comp then Galloway for me, now lets hope he can have the type of career Johnson had or even close to it.

People on another website have practically convicted Dotson of rape even though he was never convicted of anything. Whatever happened to the presumption of innocence?

If you read the Police report you may understand why no charges were filed. I suggest you read the entire Police Report before making any judgments.

I remember this now. I think St John's was considering bringing Artis in, but decided not because of the incident. Man, that report is tough to read 😬
