I broke years ago.

Trading KP is upsetting, but we don't know whats coming back. Thus, the concept is negative.
KP blows out a body part, its upsetting both he gets hurt, or we did not trade him.
MOst of the PHil haters are making stuff up. THats upsetting.
Three years in and we got drama? thats upsetting.

Im a knick fan, Im "the chosen". Chosen to suffer.
Boston has the Celtics, we have the Yankees. Life is that way.

It is not just trading Porzingis as a player, either...has to do with not being able to see a good young player who WE drafted come to fruition ON THE KNICKS. I'd also be very annoyed if we just gave up on Willy, to be honest.

Dealing KP means we are giving up a known quantity who will be getting better, for an unknown draftee. Why?

Look at the KP draft, which we all considered to be loaded. Look at the top 10 picks. At this point, the only two players in that draft who have lived up to or above expectation are Towns and Porzingis. Would you trade KP if you thought you were going to get Russell, OK4, Hezonja, etc.?

We lucked out when he dropped to us and now we might be looking to trade him because he, at 21, acted immaturely? I was critical of him for not attending the meeting, and thought he missed a good chance to step up as a leader, but to think this might lead to him being traded?

Total BS.

I would watch the team, but I wouldn't have the desire or energy to be involved in a forum because I figure that I'd be complaining too much as Porzingis becomes an All-Star and we discover Josh Jackson is unable to develop a J no matter how much he tries.

Makes me not want to be a fan, and never get attached to a player because he might be gone if he doesn't smile the right way around Phil, or any Knicks GM for that matter.

Walt--you know J Jackson has attributes that=bg time winner. You also know that while KP is good hes exactly what Rosen said--injury prone. Id rather go with J Jackson and Willy G--I think it will be in the KNicks best interests.

Also I started going to mSG when I was 3 45 years ago. The Knicks are part of my family--I will never give up on my Knicks.

Yeah don't give up on the Knicks. We're all here to share in each other's misery.

Will watch games...but would not feel good until Phil was gone.

I've supported Jackson in the past...just getting tired of this shyte, and for a man as introspective as Phil, he sure says some idiotic things at times, and doesn't seem to have his finger on the pulse of the team.

Tired of this stuff...I thought Jackson was going to be the adult of the franchise...I guess I was wrong.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Yeah don't give up on the Knicks. We're all here to share in each other's misery.

Well fellas, the times have changed. We used to have to go to the bar or the water cooler to complain about the moves your team made. Now we do so electronically, and the disenchanted ones jump ship or pledge their loyalty to the latest, winning franchise. When Jordan came to the Bulls, I had to retire my Bulls cap so as not to give the wrong impression. I really liked that hat. There's something special about having a team, and sticking with your team, come hell or high water. I've only been a Knick fan and can't see myself changing because I didn't like the direction the team was headed. Hats off to you, Briggs and Nixluva. Keep the faith. GO KNICKS!!

When we finally win everything and there's no more pissy beeyatching about our own players, draft night pining and whining, other team envy and endless GM-wannabe threads...

But then, what would anyone post about?

Yeah, what I really meant actually was don't give up on talking about the Knicks in this community. I could definitely understand giving up on the franchise winning under Dolan.

Knicks broke me when they got rid of Lin. I didn't watch the knicks for at least a year. When we drafted KP I started watching again. Trading KP would have the same effect I think.

My worst days was the season after winning 52 games.... that was the worst! Going from 52 to a lottery team withn roughly the same cast? I don't want to hear about 40 year old Kidd... one guy held it together? He retires and the bottom falls out? I don't want to relive it....

For the millionth time; The team didn't get rid of Lin. Lin came back to the team with the "Poison Pill" contract, effectively severing himself from the team... It was a money grab

If that qualifies as a poison pill, what is a typical large Knicks contract (Melo, Noah, Rose, etc.)? The electric chair?

contracts go up gradually but lin's was for 3 years 25 mil: 5 mill then 5 mill then 15 mill, the last year is the poison pill part, but why do ppl here get so pissed over lin as though he the savior. has he been on a team for more than 3 years
