Ruh-roh - if the Kings hire Hinkie, they definitely aren't winning another game this season!

Then we have a home-and-home against a Miami team which is crushed with injuries. I'm really worried about a 2-1 week. 0-3 would be greedy, but 1-2 would be right on track.

This is honestly the most nerve-racking stint I've experienced as a Knick fan since that 1999 season when we only just sneaked into the playoffs in the last few games.

Hahaha, I actually feel the same way. It's the most I've scoreboard watched around the league since that season. I remember in 99 on the last night of the season, the Knicks got the 8th seed (which they wanted, to face the Heat) because of a last second steal by Iverson against Charlotte or something.

Wow - Kings so jacked, even Hinkie might not wanna go there... Probably the stories about their owner Ranadive.

Great meaningless win to destroy the tank. Pathetic coaching on this one

Yeah, i don't get the "resting Melo against tough teams so that he can be fresh against weak teams" approach. Either shut him down or wear him out. Don't keep him recharged so he can win us 4 or 5 games down the stretch.

I just saw the Mavericks lost too right at the end. Rough night.

You could see this win coming a mile away. All of the factors just lined up perfectly. They aren't really trying to tank. Not with these home games. They seem to want to win the homes games more than anything. Phil could easily call Jeff and tell him to shut it down but that's not in the cards I guess.

Apparently they just don't see the draft the way fans do. There's no indication that they even want to secure a high pick. I know it's a lottery but you would think they'd be interested in getting as many balls as possible given the needs of the franchise. This almost seems like an Dolan policy cuz they've done this as long as I can remember. Of course we all remember the extra win that cost us Steph Curry.

A completely moronic win. Exactly what I have come to expect from the Knicks. The entire franchise is rotten to the core.

thankful for the Kings win. Disappointed in the Mavericks choke. What was it, a 14-0 run to end the game for the Thunder?

With 3.31 left the Mavericks led 91-78. It ended 91-92. How is that even possible at NBA level?!! They didn't score a point in the last 3.31 and lost by a point. Ridiculous.

Kings winning is far more important to us though as Mavs have a cushion and several easy games. Big game for us tomorrow night as Philly play in Brooklyn!

This is the idiot's logic:

So win 2 games to move us to 8th spot instead of 4th, so the bum players who have dogged it all season can feel good about the year. You can't make this stuff up.

If that's how he actually thinks, "idiot" just about sums it up.

Foolish win, but the Pistons are not playing well. It's really a matter of self-respect. I think the Knicks have done a good job at losing most games, but it's not realistic to think they'll lose em all.

Let's hope they yank the starters soon. I don't want any more unfortunate victories.

From NYT article:

Their 109-95 victory over the Pistons amounted to a momentary stumbling block — a rare win that tripped up the Knicks in their pursuit of better lottery odds. Derrick Rose scored 27, Kristaps Porzingis had 25 and Anthony added 21 on a night when all three of the team’s stars were rolling. The win did little but probably disappoint some fans.

“That’s understandable,” Hornacek said. “When you’re not in the playoffs, everyone wants to know, What’s the best draft pick? It’s hard. Players don’t want to lose; coaches don’t want to lose.”

He added, “Sometimes it may work out for you if you just play and get some good karma.”

The Knicks now have eight games remaining to position themselves for next season, a posture that has become familiar.

Is Hornacek kidding? Win to make good karma, that will improve our draft position? He and Phil been taking the peyote again it would seem.

Well if they dont want to lose maybe they can start showing up when it matters.

Sixers play nets tonight and will likely only play 8 players- tanking properly unlike us. nets will likely win both games vs them

Yeah it's gonna be hard to get back to 4. It's looking like 5-9 are more likely with the Knicks still trying to win games! SMH

Melo doesn't give a flip about our future and Rose is playing for that contract. The only way to truly Tank is if Phil mandated it, which he hasn't done for some reason.
