Close up video. I know this doesn't matter in the end, but I'm just tired of this BS.

the ref pushes him back at the end, so he was obviously aware of it.

The league office should have a STACK of missed calls and bad calls when it comes to the Knicks!!! Have you ever seen a season like this with so many situations where the Refs messed up???

It's been absurd

Btw has anyone seen tony brothers lately? I don't miss him. Horrible ref but I haven't seen him since the 6 technical +30 ft debacle w celts

Hey, at least the refs had the insight to review Melo's three 5 minutes later in the 4th quarter and call it a two... SMFH

The things I came away from watching this game:

- KP sets horrible screens. In fact, I would go as far as saying he doesn't know how to set a screen.
- Melo doesn't really have the foot speed to get by defenders any more. He barely made Jason Smith look silly and he could barely get by Jason too. Jason Smith, 7 foot, big white stiff.
- Jennings doesn't like to fight thru/around picks, Rose is a little better at it but still not acceptable.

it was certainly a missed opportunity. Boston was hot; we beat them. Washington has been extremely hot (after a miserable start) and game was ours for the taking.

Hopefully team can stay positive and push through. As of late we either play horribly (e.g., Toronto game) or seem snake bit finding new ways to lose daily

Are these teams hot or are the Knicks leaving them so wide open that they get hot because of it? Seems like the later to me

Also, how odd is it that Melo missed another WIDE OPEN 5 foot jumpshot at the beginning of the game, didn't even hit rim. Or dunk the ball. Second time in 3 games?

Also, how many times does Jennings just lose his dribble? I've never seen a PG just cough up the ball so repeatedly. Maybe like once or twice a YEAR but Jennings seems to do it once or twice a game.

they both do..rose and jennings.

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

Ha. I was talking about their win streaks going into the Knicks games. Celts for example i think had a 12 game win streak at home. Wiz have had a real hot run of late like 20-6 or something like that.

but you're right, players are left too wide open, they hit their shots, get some rhythm and start playing with higher confidence and we're forced to play catch up -- maddening

It has been ridiculous. Breen is a pro and he has been pointing it out a lot lately.

The inability of KP to set screens is going to make it hard to have him as the starting 5.

The inability of KP to set screens is going to make it hard to have him as the starting 5.

That and defending post ups or boxing out 5's will be very tough. His best role is to play minutes at 5 and 4, not exclusively at just one position. However with Melo, that will be hard to do. Melo is definitely better at 4. Our offense is much better with Melo at 4.

Longterm the Knicks need to allow Willy to be the starting 5 on offense, KP to improve his defensive recognition abd the key will be to find a Jae Crowder type of 3 man. Athletic, can shoot the 3, drive a little. We need more defense and athleticism at the 3.

For now though, even with the weak screen setting, I start KP at 5, Melo at 4. Or bring KP off the bench rest of the season. We simply have a much better offense and style of play with Melo at 4 and smaller quicker wings out there at 3.
