Now that Kerry has officialy been nominated as the presidential candidate for the Democrats, let me find out where Knicks fans are in terms of this November election. Please do cast your vote as I'm truly interested in the outcome. Appreciate your help! If there is anyone whose decision was affected by Moore's film, "Farenheit 9/11", please tell me how. THANK YOU! Now to the poll question... "If the election was held tomorrow, I'm voting for:"
George Bush
John Kerry
Ralph Nader
Undecided
Don't care and not voting

This probably sums up my views on this entire disaster:

"At least he has regard for human life." Yet here's a candidate who supports abortion.

Bush is all pro-life, but is pro-death penalty.

It just doesn't make any sense, where have all the leaders gone?
I'm pro-choice and anti-death penalty but I respect that you can hace a principled position on either side of these two issues and I wouldn't use someone's views on those two issues to say that they have no regard for human life.

All the people on CNN for some reason were talking about what they got on their SATs this morning. I kept wondering what Bush would get if he took the test right now. 900 maybe?

back in the day I think he barely cleared 1000. It's public knowledge and out there somewhere.

I dont think that Kerry is the anwser to all our problems by any means but there is no doubt in my mind that this is the most dangerous president in the last 100 years. From civil rights, foreign policy, the war on terror, the economy, the environment etc.. everything this man and his administration touches turns to sh#t.

Four more years of this and we probably wont even recognize our country,Im having trouble recognizing it from just a few short years ago.

I actually voted for him 4 years ago so its not like Im some tree hugger against Bush as they like to paint the opposition.Big mistake.Hopefully this year I can make up for it.

Do any Kerry supporters here live in swing states or are we all New Yorkers?

Isiah for president! Kind of Reganonics, spend heavy to build up military and the Economy.

Our deficit would be sky high with Isiah.

No, we'd always bring in more money than we spent, even if our spending was huge

Was a NYer all my life, until last year when I graduated and had to move to NH for my job. No more MSG =(.

Didn't vote in last election because I was apathetic to the whole process. Which is kind of sad because I think many Americans are the same way.

I will vote this year tho. And it has to be Kerry, not because of what I know about him, but mostly, what I've come to know about Bush.
His policies, decisions, etc, just don't agree with me, and probably not with most Americans if we all took more time to examine our elected officials. More to the point, I think W just isn't who I want to represent us. I mean, could he come across as more of a doof everytime he speaks? I just hope he's just a poor speaker and nothing more.

I don't really like either candidate. Bush doesn't really seem to be all there and has made a bunch of mistakes, and Kerry's views seem to change just as much as the weather forecast.

What did you expect from career polititians?

These comments are refreshing especially after arguing for months with pro-Bush fanatics on other boards.

I don't like either candidate but to me Kerry is definitely the lesser of the two evils. Unfortunately, he has refused to take and stand on anything which is probably going to cost him the election. His 3 main arguments are: 1) Bush is a moron, and you shouldn't vote for morons. 2) Bush has made the economy weak. and 3) Bush lied and started a pre-emptive war.

I agree with him on all 3, but I'm not sure most Americans feel the same way.

Do you think Kerry was actually the strongest candidate out of the 9 or 10 who ran for the Democratic nomination?

I think Kerry lucked out because Dean took all the heat for him. I don't think he's a good candidate, kinda reminds me of Al Gore and Bob Dole. All those guys will say anything or take any stand they think will get them into office. They don't really have any stand on any issue.

Not even close. I do believe Edwards or Dean might have given the Democrats are better chance. Both offer firmer stances on all issues. Kerry is carrying a lot of baggage, not the least of which is his alleged meeting with North Vietnam during the Vietnam war.

On the flip side, Bush is not even close to being the best candidate the GOP can come up with. Not when guys like McCain and Giuliani are available.

One thing is for sure. The candidate that wins will not win because he is the BETTER of the two candidates.

I agree with you 100%. I think you hit the nail right in the eye socket with that one.
