Figured it might be good to have one of these to stick the odd rumor that may or may not effect the Knicks.

For instance,

sounds like David Lee and the Warriors have agreed to part ways this summer.

Lee is a good player. I think he could fit very well on any number of teams. Great team player. GS has to worry about having to pay Draymond. Phil might even go after Draymond with a max offer. You just never know.

Picking at old wounds, I know, but looking back, it would have been better to keep him than pay for Amare.

If he is to start anywhere he really needs a big defender for protection.

At this point he seems to be better off as an offensive energy guy off the bench getting 20MPG.

Wish that he had really worked on his body at some point.

After calling him and Barnes glorified roll players early in the series, I came to appreciate Green (not Barnes), but he really benefits from the system he's in. Don't think he would be as valuable as he is on GS if he moved to the wrong team, IMO.

agree... Lee would be a very nice fit. We are going to see a lot of youth coming in. Lee can still help and would be a nice vet presense

Nonsense! We got one season of Amare, AND Anthony Randolph, Azubuike and that PF/C who was always injured and couldn't play well. What's not to like!

Maybe we should revisit Brigg's "Anthony Randolph has franchise talent" daily threads

I really really hope the knicks don't do GS any favors, by helping them stay out the luxury while maxing Draymond Green..... Hell considering what Jerry West said about NY in the newspapers I know they wont

I would like to trade for Lee but the cap space is too great. Maybe if it was a 3 team trade and the Knicks could dump Calderon. Instead of getting a 1st from HAs the Knicks would Give that to the 3rd team and pick up two second rd picks

David Lee coming to NY for 15 mil would be a fiasco of a trade. Especially for the 30th pick when the knicks are having trouble finding somebody worth the #4th pick.

If the Knicks strike out on Greg Monroe or find him otherwise unworthy, I would consider DLee and pick 30 in a pure cap space absorption move. Either that or the Warriors take Calderon for DLee.

And, ah yes, Anthony Randolph was the Kristaps Porzingis of his day in many ways. Though I admit that I wanted to believe AR could be good here.

If that is plan B I am now 100% pro Greg Monroe.

This thread wasn't meant to be specifically Knicks related - just a thread to post stuff like "hey, looks like David Lee is on the move this summer." Maybe it fits with Knicks ideas, maybe it's just league gossip. In the FA and trade period, there are always dominoes where one team makes a move and it creates a need for another move, etc.

Granger and Henderson have picked up their player options (not that they were Knicks targets anyway)

Rumors are Ty Lawson will end up with the Kings during the draft.

Also that Boston will look to move their 16th and 28th first round picks for possible frontcourt help.

Someone I know who still works in the league told me that don't surprised to see prospect Cameron Payne become a "swing pick" , i.e. teams will shuffle around the board to see if they can get him and if they can't, will try to shuffle around the board again because they can't.

That last guy was voted the smelliest guy in the league by his peers.

The thing that made me wonder if we're trading down with Denver in exchange for their pick and Ty Lawson, was Payne suddenly cancelling his workout with us- doesn't really make any sense unless he knows we won't be taking a PG.

I've heard Karl wants Ty Lawson back. I could definitely see that with a pick swap between the two teams.

I never thought Ty Lawson made sense in the Triangle for the Knicks - Phil likes his big guards.
