I thought he was 6-10.5 maybe 6-11 in shoes. This guy is near 7 feet barefoot and 7-1 in shoes. If Kaminsky is aggressive in the nBA why cant he have a Dirk like career? He can really shoot it.

In respect to Dirk and any NBA Star, you need more than just skills. These guys have the ability to take pressure game winning shots. They don't fold during road games. The best Kaminsky can be right now is Kaminsky, which isn't bad. If he works on his game, he could be better than Dirk. But right now, he's not even close. The good thing about the future, is that it's unknown. He's definitely somebody we should try and get with a second pick. And 7'1 makes since. He was clearly 2 inches taller than OK4 when they were on sports nation together. But for him, size doesn't matter, because he doesn't use it to his advantage. And before he can be like Dirk, he has to be better than Bargs, who went number 1 for a reason. Until then, he has a long ways to go.

I see more Gasol than Dirk. Dirk when he started out moved like a SF. I don't see that with Kaminsky. But I would take him 4-6 in the draft. The top three picks are going to be Oakfor, Towns and Mudiay IMO.

Having seen Dirk live a few times I would say in his 20s he moved like a guard. He would come off a screen or around a curl and shoot that jumper with the speed and smoothness of a Ray Allen or Reggie Miller or Alan Houston. Quick release, perfect form and fast feet... it only took him a split second to get set. I dont see any of that level of agility with Frank. The range is there but but simply doesnt have Dirk's quickness and remember Dirk was a string bean when he came into the league

You can't take a guy like Kaminsky if a guy like Russell is available. Russell was as dominant as a freshman as Kaminsky was as a senior. Kaminsky is going to be good, but i don't see star.

I am certain Philly will have a top 3 pick, and that they will select Russell if at all possible.

Dirk was a 6-11 SF at age 18 who bascally was so,good and talented that even only playing organized ball for 2 years and never even playing in Germanys first pro league was enough to hide that special kid.
This video basically was his coming out party and the reason Nelson picked him.

Kaminsky has the chance to be a really good player in the NBA I think but its a bit early to compare him to a hall of famer!

He has that chance but to say right now that he will be as good as Dirk or even close is ridiculous. If any kid with big talent could make it in the NBA just cause he was good in college then we'd have twice as many stars in the NBA than we have now cause there's sooooo many players that have great college careers but when they get in the NBA their talent doesn't translate as well as you'd think it would for whatever reason. Nobody can say who will be what in the NBA just from watching them have good college careers. All we can do is guess/assume and watch to see what happens, but Kaminski definitely has a chance to be special.

his frame is slight for his size... I think he'll have a good career but I am not so sure he'll be a high level talent in the NBA

whoa whoa whoa...out of respect to dirk, lets not go there. i mean dont be fooled but this old version. In his prime Dirk was one of the best players ive ever seen. the shooting, driving, rebounding etc etc. kaminsky has size and yes potential. but the first time i saw dirk i said "WOW" (and he wasnt even that good yet). With kaminisky i dont get that wow factor. i think he can be a good pro however. Lets just slow down a second. he needs to add some MAN TOUGHNESS and girth
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
