All the players that are playing well for the Knicks right now, DID NOT START THE SEASON WITH THE TEAM!!!!!

I feel like crying lol. All we needed was the players to show up and care. This group actually gives a damn.

Lou amundson, lance thomas, Bargnani, galloway, Alexey shved??? These guys are carrying the team right now. Thjr, larkin and jason smith are the only guys contributing that have been here from the start.

I could rip my public hairs out. It's like ridiculous what amare, shump, chandler, Felton and jr did to us last season and the start of this one. They all didn't give a damn. All these new guys came off the street and are playing like Knicks! A guy like alexey just got here at the trading deadline.

I freaking love this current squad!

They could form the nucleus of next year's team. Playoffs anyone?

Whoever didn't play in this game today against the raptors should not be back next year. Alrich Played but i would not retain him though.

shout out to Early cuz he didn't start the year well with the surgery and stints in the d league but he is going to be a nice bench guy behind Melo, fighting lance Thomas for playing time.

I think the Knicks would be in the same position...just with a few extra wins.

Also keep in mind...these dudes are playing for their Basketball lives! Not only that..they are getting more playing time now than they ever had before. Even if a player like Jason Smith doesn't come back, whatever teams falls in on, he will be regulated back to 7-8th man off the bench.

Great post. Totally agree. I feel really stupid that I wanted Lou's spot to go to a young guy. Lou looks like he should be named captain. These guys are great. I was thinking about this game all day after last night. I missed the first 3 quarters but I am going to watch them after the post game show. Love these guys.

I count 9 keepers for next year....we just need 6 players. Melo is one.....I feel like anything extra will be a bonus. Getting a top pick and 2 nice free agents is going to make this group dangerous.

The key is to bring guys in that fit this mold. Team players that add to what this group is bringing.

maybe just coincidence, but the team always seems to play better when they have the extra off day between games. They probably get in some good practice with their coaches which can build confidence in the system we are running

If the Knicks can add a top pick and 2 good free agents he will be a 7 - 8th man and we will be a playoff team

This is a proof of concept here. These players are doing what the coaches ask and trusting each other. Sharing the ball and cutting hard with no loafing like the guys we had. It just proves that even without any big name players it's about teamwork and effort. This all we ask for is to play like you care. We know they're not a great team but if you just care enough you can still be competitive.

Just look at the high level of execution these guys are performing that last 2 games. There was a some bashing of Fish and the coaches, but now we see it wasn't them. Phil was right to get rid of the trash and bring in guys who fit and were hungry.

Man we've been saying this kind of stuff all year. Now we can finally see that we weren't wrong about everything. Just needed to get rid of the players who didn't give a damn and didn't want to buy in. No prima donnas just guys who want to learn and have a chance to play. Look at how much Lou Amundson has improved in such a short time. He's never played this well before. Guys are coming together and it fun to watch them trust each other and grow in confidence. Every time they play well it saves us MILLIONS this summer.

Classic case of: Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. I pray Phil works hard in the off season to add actual talent and a practically new damn starting five because when we play other teams that have a hardworking mentality that are talented, we will be scewed.

We just beat Toronto after coming off a double overtime thriller the night before.....
