Calderon was going to be the guy to get everyone organized. Hit the timely jumper. Make the right read. Swing the ball to the correct side.

We're starting the season behind.... not cool

This is probably the biggest opportunity Larkin will ever get.

I'm glad Fish stuck with Larkin and has given him confidence. Larkin has talent and needs to learn how to win. This will just accelerate the process. No one wanted it to come like this but injuries are gonna happen. Just gotta step up.

If Larkin pans out, it could be the difference between the season being a meltdown or them having fun and playing some good games. After Larkin, PG position is ancient by NBA standards, so if Larkin succeeds it is actual depth. If he does not, then it could be lights out for the season since you can't overplay old guys and expect them not to miss games.

And I don't buy into the idea that PG's are not that necessary in the triangle. That sounds like a crock of horsedoodle to me. You need good PGS.

It's not that you don't need PG's. They mean you don't need Ball Dominant PG's. You typically don't see high assist PG's in Triangle. The Assists are more spread around. That's all they mean.
