I'd say a double double with 2 ast, and 2.3-3.0 blks. The guy steps onto the court and gets a blk in 30 seconds it seems. His college numbers were very good too. I think he needs at least 28 minutes a night. There is no need to waste time on Bargs or Amar'e at center.

I think Jason Smith is PF insurance more than anything.

There are times when it's hard to evaluate "hustle & effort" numbers because a guy who knows his minutes are short can play without being concerned about fouling out. This might account for some of Cole's high foul numbers projected over 36 minutes, which might normally be a cause for concern when evaluating him.

It will be interesting to see if Aldrich can prove to the Knicks he deserves starter minutes, and finally shows he was worthy of being the 11th pick in a draft.

If he can play without committing foolish fouls, and Fisher plays him significant minutes, I don't see why he can't average a double/double with about 2 bpg, and if he really becomes confident, those numbers could even increase a bit. I would think everyone would be happy if he gave us Splitter/Birdman type performances on a nightly basis, and i don't see why he can't do this as the season moves along.

I actually consider his performance this year to be one of the keys to the Knicks having a successful season. Hopefully he finds his comfort zone in Triangle and comes into his own as a player.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

I think he's probably better than Dalembart IF given a chance AND he comes in the best shape of his life.

I suspect the starting line up as

C- Aldrich
F Stoudemire
F Melo
G Smith
G Calderon

6th man Hardaway

Dalembart/Smith
Bargnani/Smith
Shumpert/Early
Larkin/Prigs

bench reserves
Acy
Outlaw

100 percent agree... He's going to break out as long as he gets the minutes best defensive center on the team also best rebounder and shot blocker he dose all the dirty work! Perfect center for the triangle

it's hard to project his numbers in the triangle. he does not have much of a low post game, and his midpost game consists merely of a funky but potentially effective jump hook. i think he has a nose for the ball so if he were to start and get 32 minutes a night he can get 10 rebounds. the key is how many offensive rebounds he gets since they are at least twice as valuable as defensive rebounds, especially the stat-padding bitch rebounds that the modern game generates when the opponent is coached to fall back to prevent the fast break.

he is a willing passer and i have some faith in his court vision.

9.5 points
9.5 rebounds
2 assists
3.5 fouls
2.5 fta

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I'm on my Nix game. Big ups to him.

Anyway, Cole will become a defensive version of Will Perdue minus the tooth.

12 boards a game is really hard to do. Are you folks (BRIGG) on crack? What players over the last few years have put up those kinds of rebound #'s?

Last year, there were 4:
DeAndre Jordan
Andre Drummond
Kevin Love
Dwight Howard

Demarcus Cousins was 11.7, so we'll give you him.

I love Cole Aldrich and I think he can be better than adequate for us as the starting center, but I highly doubt he averages anywhere near 12, let alone near 10.

I can see him at 8 & 8 with 1 block - maybe some #'s right off that - 7 & 9 1.5, etc.

I hope I'm wrong, and I'd love to see him succeed like that, but I think its unlikely at best.
