At the same time we have a huge injury risk 1-9...

So we gotta keep it positive. This could go very well or very bad

That's what I like about this team. If all goes well and they stay healthy they are better built for a long playoff run

You're right. That's not terrible, even w/o Reynolds, but still feels about 1 bat short to me. Kendrys Morales maybe? I think his bat would really solidify and lengthen the lineup -- then we could turn our attention to pitching (starting and relief) and bench depth...Too bad about Reynolds -- yeah, he K-ed a ton but he was a gamer. Good glove all over the place -- always knew he was a decent 1st basemen, had no idea he could play 3rd that well. We even threw him out there at SS or 2nd too in a pinch once or twice if I remember right and he did the job there too. And of course, the pop he supplied was a bonus...Speaking of bench depth -- I really wish we had held onto David Adams and Jayson Nix. Mark Reynolds too. All 3 together would've really supplied great infield depth. Watch this David Adams -- I mean when he first came up, I immediately though of Gregg Jeffries -- to hit the ground running with the bat the way he did as a rookie, and then unlike Jeffries, this kid could actually field too (and like Reynolds, play multiple IF positions all well). Adams fizzled out somewhat with the bat but the tools are there man -- this kid's got a very nice swing. Definitely not the last we heard of this kid. We non-tendered both he and Nix -- I'd like to get both guys back if we could.

yankees aren't going to sign anyone play DH since now they're going to be using jeter, beltran, soriano, mccann, arod (when available) there almost every day of the week.

You may be right bro -- they very well might use the spot to rotate a few different guys through in order to keep everyone fresh. I'd prefer they go get a decent everyday DH though myself. Morales looks to be the best available...You're prob. right though -- just another way for them to conserve on the salary cap. Hopefully they really look to beef up the rotation and the bullpen now..We'll see. Decent secondary move getting Kelly Johnson btw...Dude once hit 39 doubles in a season and once hit 26 HRs I believe...16 dingers back to back the last 2 seasons..He should help. I miss David Adams the more I think about it. Really liked his potential.
