felton has 1 assist. can you say "weakest link?" time to face facts he is just a putrid defender and he will be compromising his team every night against quicker backcourt players.

tonight didn't further my confidence in this team.

6-1 for the seven game run that you said would be a character defining part of the schedule for the Knicks.

Also, most of the wins during the 6 - 1 stretch were blowouts. Some people are only capable of complaining in relation to this current team. It is what it is and not worth responding to at this point.

it's not that you win it's how you win and they are not defining themselves as a defense-first team. i really thought that was the goal.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

If the Knicks get the 1 or 2 seed because they went 6-1 and won the 'wrong' way I have no issue with it.

I am pretty sure the primary, secondary and tertiary goals are to win.

Yup. Only the Clippers and Raptors remaining before our all-star break with a chance at a record of 34-16 heading into all-star weekend. As of right now we're 6-1 during our previous 7 games with a potential chance of being 8-1 during our previous 9 (heading into all-star weekend).

6-1.

Yup, because it's not like we haven't gone 9-3 during our last 12 ball games while allowing an average of only 91.5 points per game (against) during our past 12 games.

As if the Chicago Bulls don't rank 3rd overall while only allowing 91.8 points per game here in 2012-2013.

Knicks not defensing themselves? Yup. Sure.

Nate is better than any knick guard. His cost 1 mm. We were so he'll bent on getting the old vet we forgot about young ones.

Better than Felton and JR? Would not want Nate running the point for 82 games and would not want Nate defending SGs over JR

Nate works on a team that can't score, cuz he's a scorer. Nate is a horrible distributor. And a bone head, although I'll concede hes been looking pretty good. lately.

Atlanta also lost to New Orleans which means we're now 5 1/2 games ahead of ATL (current 6th seed). 3.0 games ahead of Chicago (current 4th seed) and 2.5 ahead of Indy (current 3 seed).

Does anyone remember/know the overall standings dating back to THE START of our 6-1 stretch/run? Feels like we're creating distance heading into the break although Miami's 1.5 games ahead.

We're only 1.5 games back of Miami, we own the head to head tiebreaker against Miami, still play Miami twice (x2) and overall have another 35 games remaining in regards to our regular season. So much for the one seed? Really nice to know.

How many games were we ahead of balitmore and boston in 1970 at the same point of the season?

Through 48 games: Boston 20-28; Baltimore 30-18; NY 38-10. So, we were 4 games ahead of Baltimore and Boston was basically a nonentity.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

NBA road wins are always good wins.

Minny let that one go. The better teams don't do that.

Pekovic is a scary human.

Not our best work but its a win. We road the back of the closer/star. Its why he makes the big bucks and he delivered.

Some nites thats how it works.

Its a Rick Adelman coached team. Hes a good one.

Agree with much of that.

If people think any team is going to go through the season winning every game against an inferior opponent, in convincing fashion every time, then you're going to be disappointed EVERY year- just doesn't happen! Even the 97 Bulls (team closest to actually achieving that) lost to us just after JVG took over. Spurs lost to Detroit last night (and remember 3g4g, you said injuries are an 'excuse' and don't matter, so the fact they didn't have Duncan or Ginobli is irrelevant). Doesn't mean the sky is falling, it just means that the season is long and their are many ups and down, and lots of nights where your team doesn't look great.

It's important a team learns how to win games when their behind in the 4th quarter, so I found this win pleasing. Like our record, just need to make it back for the Clippers game, who got Billups back (wants revenge vs us), and grand floppers CP3 and Blake Griffin- tough, tough game. Even worse is if it gets posponed- we have no room in March or April, it would likely end up being a back to back to back.

lets see how far this team gets in the playoffs playing the wrong way. that's the goal here, right? not merely some shiny regular-season record, right?
